12 on a Page!

Hello friends!
I am sharing my layout for the last installment of "4x6 Photo Love" at Two Peas in a Bucket. This is from December's class, which means 12 4x6 photos on a page! And I love the technique that Shimelle used this month. It is a stack of photos all matted & placed together on a one-page layout. This was so fun to do & I know I'll be using this idea again!
Here is my layout:

This is also a great way to use up a lot of papers from your stash. I have a hard time throwing away anything scrap related, so I was thrilled to use many of my paper scraps here!
These pictures are from our trip to Chincoteague Island in August of 2010. The kids had a great time seeing all of the wild ponies!

Have a great Monday!!

MME Challenge

Hey all!
This latest layout is for the challenge over at My Mind's Eye Blog this month. The theme is "new". I titled my layout "New Thrills". The photos are from this summer at Great Wolf Lodge. Ty finally realized how much fun it was going down the water slides!

 The blue dot pp is from MME Merry Days of Christmas line; the mini alphas are MME from the Lime Twist collection. The chipboard pieces are from Crate Paper.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! It was rainy & cold here so we spent a lot of time inside!!

Saying Goodbye

I HAD to play along with this week's sketch from Sketchy Thursdays, as this will be their last! Diana announced last week that it is time to close down the challenge site. I, as I'm sure many scrappers are, am saddened by this news! ST has been such a fun & inspirational site!!! I will miss heading to the site every Thursday morning!
And here is the last sketch:
This is my layout (photos are from Mother's Day, 2009!):

 The cloud paper is from Bella Blvd; the alphas are AC Thickers; the brown doily diecut is Fancy Pants.
Thanks for stopping by & good luck to DianaHeidi & Julie!!!

Miracle Pup

Hi blog friends! I am popping in to share my latest layout. I made it using this week's sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. Here is the sketch:

And here is my layout:

This is Beau, our newest family member. We adopted him from a local rescue group in April of 2011. He was one of 9 puppies, 6 of which died shortly after their birth. He & one of his brothers were brought to our house for a home visit & we fell in love! A few days later, Beau became a permanent member of our household. We all love this puppy so much & he has been the perfect addition!!

The brown pp is Crate Paper; red polka dot pp is 7Gypsies; mini alphas are My Mind's Eye; chipboard pieces, "hello" tag & "hi friend" sticker are also Crate Paper.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hug your pet today!!

See the World

Hi all!

Just a quick post to share my latest layout. The picture was taken in Marco Island in August of 2009. I love that Drew & the kids are staring out into the water. It makes me wonder what was going on in their heads! And I love the words in this song by Gomez. I thought the title worked perfectly for this page.  And I do hope that both my kids have many opportunities to see the world.
I started by inking the white cardstock. The blue & cream paper is from Lily Bee; yellow mini alphas are Cosmo Cricket; blue doily & journal "ticket" are from Fancy Pants. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope 2012 is good to you all so far!!

"Slice" of Heaven

I am so excited!! I was in Michael's today getting some scrapping supplies & stumbled across a MM Slice Elite  on sale for $40!!!!! All cartridges were also on sale, for only $10. I haven't had a chance yet to play around with it, but I am so anxious to! Can't wait to experiment w/ all the possibilities!
Have a great night!

2012!

Happy New Year all! I hope last night was enjoyed by everyone. We had a blast at our neighbor's party (even the kids had fun)! They also managed to stay awake to watch the ball drop & ring in the New Year w/ us. They didn't get to bed until 12:45 a.m. & slept in this morning extremely late. Needless to say, they are going to have a rough week adjusting to the school schedule!

Today was beautiful day here, about 65 degrees! We had a very relaxed day & spent lots of time outside. The kids set up a "yard sale" with their friends & tried to sell some old toys. We walked the dogs & rode scooters & just enjoyed being together with nothing planned.

I have heard lots of people say they are glad that 2011 is behind us. I know friends that had an extremely hard & trying year. We were fortunate enough to have had a decent year. I am excited for the new year & opportunities & adventures that lie ahead. I will begin babysitting a 3 month-old baby girl at the end of this month. The kids are excited to have a baby around! I do not usually make resolutions, but have thought that this year I would like to:
be more present in each moment;
learn to take better pictures;
make "girl time" for me & Leah;
try to be better at accomplishing goals set, whatever they may be.

I am excited for the endless possibilities that a new year brings. I wish for all of you health, happiness & much love!
Blessing!
