Catching Up

Hi friends! I hope you all had a fabulous Saturday! It was another gorgeous, no humidity day here! We have been so fortunate this summer with the weather.

I have some layouts to share that I finished a while ago, but we've been so busy I haven't had time to blog them. Monday we went to Alexandria/Arlington with Drew for work. The kids had fun swimming in the hotel pool then we went out to dinner & walked around & shopped. Tuesday the kids & I went to the National Zoo. They loved it! Well, except for all the walking!
Wednesday I had to work so the kids spent a fun day with their Mom-Mom going to lunch & Sweet Frog.
Thursday we went to Luray Caverns with my mom, sister & nephew for the day. It was gorgeous &  the kids all seemed to enjoy it, except at the beginning when we were descending the stairs & the lights went out! It was scary but fortunately it was only pitch dark for a few seconds.
Yesterday was spent having lunch & catching up with friends we haven't seen a lot over the summer.
It was a great week!

Here is a layout I created for Chris' challenge  over at Memorable Seasons.

I used quite a few circles here. Some were punched from a piece of Crate paper's The Pier paper. The pink journaling tag has a scalloped circle on it.

That's all I have to share tonight. I have got to go to sleep as we are leaving tomorrow for a vacation in the mountains, but I still have so much left to do in the morning!
Good night!

Summer Mini

Hey everybody! Happy Friday!!
I want to share a mini album today that I made using Crate Paper journaling cards from their collection, The Pier.
I tied the cards together using Lovebug Creations' rumple ribbon in Simply White. I know I have said it before, but this is one of my favorite ribbons! It is so versatile & looks great on any project, with any color scheme.
Here are some inside photos:

I added some more rumple ribbon here in Olive You. The enamel dots are from Pebbles.

I punched the bird with my Jenni Bowlin "Flight" punch that I adore! The doily is from Martha Stewart & the "M" is from American Crafts.

Here is some more of the divine Simply White rumple ribbon!! Everything else is from The Pier collection. This was so quick but fun to make!

Have a great day y'all!

Latest Layouts

Happy Saturday y'all!
I want to quickly share with you my latest layouts. I say quickly, because the kids are at my sister's house & I have to leave to pick them up soon!

The first one I made with the color challenge at My Mind's Eye in mind. Here are the colors:
  August color inspiration

And here is my layout:

Most of the products here are a mix of My Mind's Eye collections, with the exception of the banner under the tissue paper (which is from Heidi Swapp); the buttons are from American Crafts; the penant phrases (under the photo) are from Simple Stories & the clips are from my stash.

My next layout was made for Carol's challenge on the forum at Memorable Seasons, which is to "journal directly on your layout with your own handwriting in a square around your layout. You must also incorporate the page title and another design element in that square. Make sense? :D"
Here is my alyout using Crate Paper's The Pier collection

And my last layout is for Louise's challenge, which is to use the following trends: arrows, chevron, word stickers, cut off paper strip, washi tape & metal accent.

My paper obviously has chevrons (Crate Paper The Pier).

The tags at the top were made with washi tape.

The arrow stickers are from Studio Calico.
Everything else is from Crate Paper, with the exception of the chalkboard journal spot & the yellow pom pom trim.

Thanks for stopping by! I am headed out now to get the kids & take them out to dinner, since Drew is out of town. He went to a concert so the kids want to have movie night at home after dinner!
Take care,
~Stephanie

A SUPER Card

Hey friends & happy Friday once again!!
Oh how I love Fridays! It is my day to share my project for Lovebug Creations.
Today I have a card to share that I made for my son's friend's birthday. He turned 6 & loves all things superhero-related!
I used Mama's mesh  in "Lemonade" on my card. Love the texture it lends to any project!!

The alpha stickers are from Cosmo Cricket and the large "V" (monogram for my son's friend's name) is a vinyl sticker from AC Thickers.
The birthday party was at a local minor league baseball game, so we all got tickets & turned it into a family night out. Score!

 Getting autographs before the game.

The kids loved the game & the whole experience! Fun was had by all.

Thanks for letting me share with you all today! I hope everyone has fun plans for this fabulous Friday. It is another gorgeous 75* day here!! Lovin' it!

Sketch N Scrap #39

Hey everyone! Hope you're enjoying this Thursday, middle of August day! It feels like fall here. The temps haven't even broken 70* yet!! Awesomness!!!! We are all loving it here. The kids have been riding bikes like feins! There is absolutely NO humidity, which is unheard of in these parts in August! We are reveling in it while we can & spending much time outside!!

August 15th also means new sketch reveal at Sketch N Scrap! Check out this fabulous sketch by Kelly Holifield:

And here is my layout:

I have loved this piece of paper from Glitz Design from the moment I saw it!! It's from their Cashmere Dame collection, which isn't that new, but I am a hoarder when it comes to things I love! But I immediatley thought this paper was fabulous for this sketch. I used the Glitz roller stamp to apply yellow arrows. On top of that, I added some tissue paper & some handcut traingles.

The black circles are stamped with a pice of cardboard I saved from a kid's toy. I added lots of different bits & pieces around the page.

We would love it if you had a chance to play along & linked up here! There is a great prize up for grabs also!!
This adorable stamp set has generously been donated from Amanda Armitage, owener of Etsy shop Love Manifested.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy creating y'all!

More MS Challenegs

Hello friends! Hope you are all enjoying this Monday.
I woke up today not realizing it was Monday-the weekend went by TOO FAST!!
I want to share some other projects I completed for the members' challenges over at Memorable Seasons .
The first one is a layout I did for Laura's stamping challenge:
I stamed the bubblewrap stamp on my background paper (Crate Paper's The Pier pp) in black & red ink. I then stamped 3 hotair balloons & cut  them out & popped them up on the page. Then I stamped the word "enjoy" in my title.

The next challenge is a color challenge hosted by Sally. Here is the palette: (plus fuchsia)
 Image

And here are the two cards I made (also using Crate Paper's The Pier):

That's it for today. I am having so much fun playing along with these challenges! Thanks, girls!

Til next time,
~Stephanie

Tagged

Hi friends and happy Friday again!
These days and weeks are flying by ridiculously fast!!
Fridays are an awesome day-the beginning of the weekend & I get to share my latest project for Lovebug Creations!
Today I am sharing a gift tag that I made. Wednesday was LBC owner, Kimi's oldest daughter Taylor's 11th birthday! So this was made in her honor:

I used "Queen Taylor" rumple ribbon, which unfortunatley, is no longer available. It was from a special collection. But be sure to check out the other fabulous ribbon colors & prints in the store .
The doily is from Martha Stewart & I misted it with Studio Calico "Piglet" mist. The flower is from AC Dear Lizzy.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope y'all have a great day! We are headed out soon to see the new "Planes" movie & to have lunch with my sister & nephew. Ty is beyond excited!!
Til next time!

Memorable Seasons Challenges & Sketchabilities

Hey guys!
This month over at Memorable Seasons the member's are hosting the challenges! So far I have played along with two. There are many more that I am hoping to find time to do also. In fact, the kids both have friends over today, so I may get some scrapping done!

The first one I did, was a photo challenge. It is to "do something creative with your photos".
Here is my layout:
I started with Crate Paper The Pier pp, added doilies, paper strips (also from CP The Pier). In fact, everything here is from The Pier with the exception of the cork arrows, corrugated butterfly & letter stickers. They are all from Fancy Pants. The pink candy dots are from Pebbles.

To create the "love" word on my photo, I printed two of the same picture. On the one I adhered chipboard letters then laid the other photo on top of it. I took a piece of sandpaper & lightly sanded over the letters.
You can find this challenge here

For the next challenge, you are to use atleast 2 different papers from 2 different manufacturers & have a two-word title.
Here is my layout:

I started with Sketchabilities skecth # 96:

The multi-colored chevron paper is from Crate Paper The Pier; the grey polka dot paper is from American Crafts & the green paper is an old piece from MME.
My two word title is "Hello Summer".

Here is the link to this challenge. I had so much fun playing along! I hope you will make an effort to also!!

Thanks for popping by today. I hope you find some time to create!
