What's Happening....

Hey y'all! I know it's been a long time since I have been around this ole blog! And I have a lot of catching up to do!!
First, I want to share a gift bag that I recently made & embellished with flair from The Crafty Pickle. By the way, the shop had reopened so you can find all your flair button needs and more there!! And lots of new products have ben added!

I added the hearts flair button to the top of the fabric rosette and love the way this simple but sweet gift bag turned out!

While it's not a Christmas gift bag, it will be perfect to present to my daughter with a small gift or gift card for her 13th birthday next week! I am at a loss for words as we embrace on teenagehood. I can't believe Leah has reached this stage already!! I must say, for the most part, we are pretty lucky-she's a great kid!

Speaking of Christmas & he holidays, are you ready?! I am almost done shopping, however, have not done much in the way of decorating. We hosted Thanksgiving dinner for the family here this year so we were pretty busy preparing for that. Now I seem to have lost all motivation to get ready for Christmas! Hoping I find it soon!!! We did have a special guest arrive on December first:

Ty was so excited to see "Countdown" when he got home from school the other day! He had been asking when he would arrive for weeks!! The Season is upon us!
Make it a great one!

Happy Santa-Stuck On U Sketches

Happy Thursday y'all! Today I have a layout to share that I created with the latest sketch at Stuck On U Sketches. The January 16 sketch, created by Leah, is so much fun & perfect for any remaining holiday photos you want to scrap!

I love all the fun Christmas trees and the photo blocks! Here is what I came up with:

I used the wonderful Snow Village  collection from Pink Paislee. I fell in love with this collection the minute I saw it & was lucky enough to still have some left over! The colors are so beautiful.
I started with the large rectangle cut from the polka dot paper, then laid the music strip paper horizontally across the top.
My sequins are from The Crafty Pickle & the "Santa" tab is from Scraptastic club.
I punched the stars with my Fiskars' punch.

The trees above were cut from a patterned piece of paper from the collection & I used stickers for the base. The "wonderful life" pennant is from Scraptastic club.

This photo is from 2006-I know, it's old! But I found it the other day while cleaning out a drawer & wanted to get it on paper. I love how itty bitty Leah was! Ty wasn't even born yet. I love looking back on the pics from when the kids were little!

I hope you find the time to play along with this great sketch! If you do, be sure to link up here. We love seeing what you create!!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope it's a crafty day!

A Lovely Gift

Hey y'all! I hope this day is treating you well! We are fighting off colds around here & trying to get healthy for the New Year!
I have a post to share today featuring flair & sequins from The Crafty Pickle. I made a layout using this sketch from Stuck?! Sketches:

Here is my page:
I started by stamping the circles on my cardstock. I then added strips of paper from my stash. I love, love, love using up scraps!!

The black & white striped paper is from Glitz & the multi-colored snowflake paper is from Imaginisce. The stars are from Pink Paislee & the journal card is from Pretty Little Studio.

Here is a closer look at the red & white flair button from TCP. I love how festive it is! I also love how well it matches the paper here from Elle's Studio. You can get a good look at the Christmas sequins mix here too.
The crown is from Um Wow Studios & I misted it red then added some coarse glitter.

This arrow flair button is glittery & the perfect accent to my Christmas page!

There's more of the yummy Christmas sequins & the ornament die cut is from Pink Paislee. My alphas are from Fancy Pants.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a crafty day!

Christmas Bloopers

Hey y'all! Did you have a nice Christmas? It went by so fast & I am still in disbelief that it's over! We had a nice day spent with family & many laughs! We wouldn't want it any other way.
Here are some pictures to recap the days.
Leah asleep by her Christmas tree.

The kids made a gingerbread house & the sides & roof kept caving in!

Then the dog ate it!!

We went to church Christmas Eve night with my mom again this year. It was very nice & she enjoyed us being with her. I thin this may become a yearly tradition!

Leah also wants to start a new tradition of opening one gift on Christmas Eve from me & Drew. We indulge her wish this year.

Christmas day Ty woke up first around 7a.m. & tried to get Leah up. He was so excited & she wanted to sleep! But around 7:20, they both got up & headed down to see what Santa had left.

They were happy with their gifts. Ty got a Nerf Thunder Bow & Leah got 1D perfume!

The dogs even got treats from Santa!

Santa enjoyed the kids' sugar cookies & milk!

The kids had "smowmen" for breakfast!

They played with their gifts & we watched "A Christmas Story" & my mom & brother came over in the afternoon for a drink. We all then went to my sister's for apps & more drinks before heading to my brother's & sister-in-law's house for Christmas dinner & gift exchange.
                                                                   Girl cousins!!

We all had a great time being together & having lots of fun!
Merry Christmas 'til next year!
