So I wanted to share a little bit about our weekend. We went to Field Day of the past Friday night. It is a small "carnival" of sorts in this area that happens once every September. We have been taking the kids since Ty was about 2. They love the rides, the treats, the animals, the old-timey cars & trucks....But mainly Ty LOVES the tractor pull! It is when big pick-up trucks hook up to a huge tractor & pull it as far as they can down a dirt path. It's very loud, & our son is not keen on loud things. So it's a bit of a contradiction that he loves this event as much as he does. In fact, last year when we left FDOTP, he immediately started asking when he could go again! We gently told him that he had to wait til next  year. And he did not forget! He talked about the tractor pull & seeing the trucks regularly. And I had no idea that FDOTP was happening last weekend (although I did know that it had to be coming up soon). So when I found out, we quickly made plans to go with my sister, brother-in-law, & nephew. Since Saturday looked like it could rain, we decided Friday night was the best time to go. & the boys (& girls)  loved it!!! We didn't stay too long, just long enough to ride some rides & see tha main attraction!
I am so glad that we didn't miss out on it this year-Ty would have been heart broken!
