Snow Village

Unfortunatley, I am not referring to our geographical location at the moment! I know lots of the country is getting pounded with snow, but our area is not one of them. And, oh how badly my kids want snow this year!!

I am, however referring to my kit this month from Memorable Seasons. We were able to shop for our own kits for January, & I chose Pink Paislee's Snow Village collection:

I know a lot of people are over & done with Christmas, but I for one, am not! (We still have all of our decorations up-including the tree!)

While I love this collection for it's holiday flair, I also love that it can be used to scrap those non-holiday photos. 

Here is the first layout I created with my kit (& as you'll notice, it's not a holiday page): 

  

Everything is from the kit except for the chipboard hexagons (which are from Maya Road), the chipboard cirlce w/ heart (My Mind's Eye) & the tag. I misted the hexagons with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Tinsel. My journaling is on the tag. It describes how our dog Luke declined after his chemotherapy treatment & we had to make the decision to put him down. Not a happy topic, but one that I needed to scrap.
