It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Around this house it is! I began cleaning & decorating the inside of the house today. (It's a very SLOW process, so don't make fun if I'm not done by next weekend!)
I figured it was high time to get on it as my kids were asking daily when it was going to happen. My problem this year is that we are remodeling our master bathroom & still have contractors in & out almost daily & my house looks like a bomb blew up! I literally have a toilet in my living room!! SO how was I supposed to think about decorating for Christmas with all of that happening?! Well, Leah is having a birthday sleep-over Friday night, so that pretty much pushed me into high gear today. I am on a schedule & hope I can stick to it (& that we don't get hit with nasty, wintry weather tomorrow)! I will say that I have scaled back drastically on the decorations this year. Many boxes remain unpacked. I just can't do it all.....

Last night we went to dinner to celebrate Leah's & Trey's (my sister's son) birthdays. Almost every one in the family was able to make it, with the exception of the oldest nieces/nephews (teenagers). Leah will be 11 on the tenth & Trey will be 6 on the twelfth.
They both had a great time & enjoyed being with the fam & being allowed to open a few gifts early!
(Leah got the highly coveted One Direction CD!)

Here is the card I made for her for her birthday:

I used my kit from Memorable Seasons, October Afternoon's Silent Night collection.
The "11" is from AC Thickers & the small alphas are from Fancy Pants.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!
Be back real soon!
