Birthday Tags Featuring LBC

Hey y'all! I hope you are enjoying the last weeks of summer. I know we have had a great one & are shocked at how fast the time has flown by!! It is still busy as ever with a trip to D.C. in our near future, a 1 Direction concert, middle school orientation & lots of birthday parties for friends!
Today I have 3 tags to share, that I created for those birthday parties, that all use Lovebug Creations' rumple ribbon:
I picked up a pack of pre-made tags at Target & used those, although the middle tag is from Crate Paper. I tied on some rumple ribbon to each to add that perfect touch of color!
This tag features Simply White & Simple Grey from the Just the Basics collection. I used my Fiskars balloon punch & some cardstock scraps to make the balloons. The sentiment rub-ons are from Pink Paislee.
For this tag I used Caddy Blue from the Island Breeze collection. I love this color! It is so cheerful!!
And for my last tag, I used Simply Grey along the bottom & "Icy Sky" (which is now retired) is tied  to the top. You can find many gorgeous colors of rumple ribbon in the shop, and much more!! Be sure to stop by and check it out.

Happy crafting!!

Thursday Layout

Hey y'all! It's a rainy, grey Thursday here. What better time to scrap?! I wish I could spend the day scrappin' away, but I have a million & one things on my to do list! We leave for the Bahamas tomorrow & once again, I am down to the wire trying to get it all done!
But yesterday I did manage to kick out this layout. To get started, I used the current sketch from Life.Paper.Scrapbook

and their mood board

Here is my layout

I was inspired by the colors in the mood board and the distressed elements.
I  used my punch to create the squares on the background. I cut out 4 2" squares, distressed them & then pieced them together to create a larger square. I did the same on the other side. All papers here are from my scraps drawer. I love, love, love the feeling of using up those scraps! Especially since I never throw anything away!
The gingham paper is from Lily Bee. Most of my scrap papers are from Crate Paper.

I used my Fiskars star punch to make the larger stars & the white, mistable ones are from Studio Calico, as are the blue stickers.
The "four" banner is cut from a journaling sheet of paper from Crate.
These pics are from Ty's 4th birthday. He loved Batman at the time. He has grown leaps & bounds since then!!
Thanks for stopping by. It means a lot!!

The Littlest Rock Star

Good mornin' y'all!
I have a layout to share that I just created. I played along with this sketch from Stuck?!Sketches

and the challenge at Frosted Designs which is to use a die cut or punch on your project.
Here is what I created:

I spaced out the triangles on my layout & the strip with my title on it was created using a mask from Heidi Swapp. Love the dots, stars & hearts!
Here are some detail shots

I used my heart punch from Fiskars & lots of pop dots to give some of the hearts height.
This layout was made with the "Hey Kid" collection from Pink Paislee. I still have some bits & pieces left & hope to create more pages with it soon! The glitter alphas are Thickers.
I know the pictures on my layout are not great, but I loved them of Ty playing "rock star" with his sister's guitar!

Thanks for stopping by today. I do appreciate it!!

Using Stickles

...is the latest PL challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches. You know you  have some, I think every crafter does! At least one bottle-right?! Here is my page:
I used stickles to fill in the pre-printed heart on this card
I love the sparkle they add & the fact that the card had the white splatters already printed on it. It looks like the glitter is spreading from the heart!
All of these cards came from the Paper Camellia Everyday Life kit and are from My Mind's Eye. The glitter alphas are Thickers from American Crafts. Both tickets that I used are also from MME but are older from my stash. I used my beloved Fiskars star & Martha Stewart heart punches also. These photos are from when Leah was 8-she is now 11!!

I hope you get the chance to play along for a chance at this month's prize

Treat Bags

Hey y'all!
I am gonna make this a quick post as I am not feeling well. I thought last week that I had strep throat, but the culture came back negative. Turns out I have hand, foot & mouth disease! And it is not any fun!! I need to rest as this week is going to be a busy one for sure!
Today is the first week of the new design team's posts for Lovebug Creations. Be sure to pop over to the blog every day this week to see some awesome projects!!
I made several treat bags for the staff at Leah's school. We don't typically get for anyone other than the kids' teachers, but since this is Leah's last year at  the school, we thought it would be a nice gesture to show everyone how appreciated they are!
I will fill each bag with some chocolates.
I started by placing a doily on the edge of each bag. I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch & my  Fiskar's heart punch. Each bag is tied with a gorgeous rumple ribbon. I have used Purpledise  from the "On The Edge" collection; I Love Grunge ; Icy Sky & Butterfly Blue, both of which are retired now.

Be sure to check out all of the fabulous ribbons and more in the store!
Til next time,

SOUS PL Challenge

Hi friends! Happy first Monday in December!
We are in the Christmas spirit around here for sure! Leah put up & decorated her Christmas tree in her room. Ty's is up too, though he doesn't have many ornaments on it. We are going to slowly take on the house decorating!

I never shared here my latest scrappy news. I was chosen to be on the Project Life DT for Stuck On You Sketches!
Now I know what you may be thinking-I don't do PL, right?! Right! I have never commited to, what seems to me to be a huge commitment, Project Life. But the nice thing is, I don't have to keep a specific PL album to play along with the fun challenges! I simply scrap my pages in that style!

The first challenge for the PL team for the month of December is to use a scalloped circle. Here is my layout:
I started with the black cardstock and added my photos & PL cards. My scalloped circle is punched with my Fiskars punch from a scrap piece of Fancy Pants'.

Here are some detail shots:

I love the ease of putting these pages together!
I hope you will join in on the fun over on the Stuck On You Sketches blog !! We would love to see your creations.

Supplies:
Bazzill black cardstock
Fiskars squeeze punch
Fancy Panys' Collecting Moments Homework & Bingo Night pp
MAMBI Pocket Pages
Thickers foam alpha stickers
Teresa Collins' chipboard & button
MAMBI Chips

Have a holly-jolly day y'all!
