Life Is Beautiful

Hey y'all! Hope you are having a Wonderful Wednesday.
I have a PL spread to share today featuring flair and sequins from The Crafty Pickle!

I have used the Autumn flair and the Autumn Sequins mix. The flatter back of these flair buttons make them easy to add to my PL pages & they fit in my album without a ton of bulk! Check out the awesome selection in the store.

The two larger journal cards are from WRMK & the smaller "Gratitude" card is from MAMBI. Fall is one of my favorite seasons & I adore these photos from a trip to an apple orchard that our family likes to visit. The flair & sequins helped give the feel of Autumn to my page.
Thanks for visiting today. Keep crafty!!

Thinking of You

Hey everyone! It's a busy Thursday here, trying to get the house clean & ready for Halloween tomorrow. We are having our annual pizza dinner here with family & close friends before we head out to trick-or-treat. I am so glad Halloween is on a Friday this year!! We don't have to rush & then scramble to get the kids to bed. We are gonna take our time & relax & enjoy it all!!
I am taking a little break from housework to share a card I made for a sweet lady that I play tennis with. She had surgery last week and was having a hard time. I hope she will only improve with each passing day! She is such a nice person.
I used Cardabilities  sketch #110

Here is my card:

I started with the kraft cardstock & added the scrap paper from my stash. I love the blue/turquoise against  the kraft!! The chippie flower is from Echo Park. The kraft butterfly is from Jillibean Soup &  the striped butterfly is from MAMBI. The wooden heart that I placed on the top of the chippie butterfly is from Studio Calico.
I used my Martha Stewart craft punch to create the branches. And the green button came from my stash.

I hope this card will bring Brenda a smile in a difficult time.

Thanks for stopping by.
Make it a crafty day!!

PL with SOUS

Good Monday morning y'all! Fall weather was upon us this weekend & it was wonderful! We spent lots of time outside at baseball games (Ty's team won!) & Leah spent all day Saturday at the barn. They are having a show next weekend, so the kids had a pizza & painting party to get ready! We snuggled together Saturday night & had family movie night.Sunday the kids decorated the outside of the house for Halloween; now I just have to do the inside! Are you ready for Halloween?

Stuck On U Sketches has a new Project Life challenge up today, the second one of the month, & it is a color challenge! Use orange, black & white on your spread. But that doesn't mean it has to be Halloween themed. I created a Fall page.

I went through my stash & first pulled my papers that had orange & black in them. They are older My Mind's Eye from their Indie Chic collection. My black & white journal cards are from MAMBI.

Then I went searching for embellishments!  I  love shopping my stash!!

I used some mistables from Studio Calico (misted with orange Heidi Swapp mist); some stickers from Glitz; & some paper flowers from Teresa Collins. And my page came together just like that!
We would love to see what you do with the color combo! Link up here  if you get the chance!!

Thanks for stopping by today. I so appreciate it!
Til next time,
~Stephanie

PL with SOUS-Quote Card

Hey y'all & welcome to another PL challenge with Stuck On U Sketches! This challenge is all about quote cards. Here is an example of what it is meant by "quote card":
Printable quotes for Project Life - a scrapbooking technique I'm using in 2014
And here is my spread:
My quote card is from a pack by MAMBI. I have also used an old journal card from Fancy Pants ("on this day") & I added the "smile" sticker to it.
We took the kids to our local Children's Museum 3 years ago to meet Spider Man. Ty was in heaven!!
We would love it if you played along with this challenge! There is a great prize to be had, offered from Lime Citron!

SOUS PL Challenge-Summer

Hey y'all & welcome to this fabulous Monday! We are currently in the Bahamas at Atlantis Resort & are having a blast!! (I will share pics later of our vacay.)
Today a new project life challenge is up at Stuck On U Sketches
We want to see your pages about summer! What better time to scrap about this wonderful & relaxing season!!
Here is my layout:
I  used a mix of PL cards here. "You were meant to shine" is from MAMBI. The kaleidoscope chippie flower is from My Mind's Eye. The "Hello Summer" card is an actual card that my son received last summer from his best friend while he was at camp. I added the small alphas from Jillibean Soup to include the word "summer". The wood veneers are from Studio Calico.

The "beautiful" & "summer day" tags are from Pretty Little Studio.
These are photos from our vacation in 2009. The kids were so little!! I miss those days (sometimes). LOL!

We hope you get the chance  to play along with this challenge. Be sure to link up on the blog to the correct challenge for a chance at this month's prize!

Thanks for stopping by. We are off to swim with the dolphins! Woo hoo!!
Stay scrappy, my friends!

Two Layouts

Hey y'all! I hope this day finds everyone well. We have a house full of kiddos here & A LOT of noise!! I have escaped to the office for a moment of solitude! We were supposed to go to the pool but the weather is cloudy & rainy, so it's another day at home.
I want to share my most recent layouts while I have a minute. I fear things could turn sour at any time!!!!
Both of these were created using sketches from Sketchabilities. The first one uses their sketch #116:

Here is my layout:

I grabbed a lot of supplies from my stash. The background was created with splatters of mists, stamped circles & a Dear Lizzy  word stamp.

The fabulous gold circle vellum is from Pretty Little Studio, as are the phrase die cuts. The "bliss" & heart chippies are from MAMBI. The gorgeous clay flowers are from Lovebug Creations. The bird/music paper is part of a Basic Grey packaging. The circle banner under the photos is from My Mind's Eye.
I had a blast pulling things & adding a ton of items from my stash!

This next layout uses skecth #118:

And here is what I created:

I stamped circles with black paint & then started layering! I used much of what I had laying on my desk for this one & what fun it was!!
All of the tags, the gold doily & the initial banners are from Crate Paper. I  used the gold circle vellum again from PLS. The glitter alphas are Thickers.

The "happy" chipboard, hearts & camera are from Heidi Swapp.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful Thursday y'all!

Yellow

Hey y'all & happy Monday!
We are quickly closing in on summer-the kids have two weeks of school left!! Ahhh! I feel like there is so much to do before they get out but I don't have enough time! Where did this school year go?!

Anyway, today there is a new PL challenge up at Stuck On U Sketches & it is to use yellow. Perfect summer color!
Here is my page:

Lots & lots of yellow here! The "love" card is from MAMBI & I backed the words with different papers. I have also used a mix of Basic Grey, Fancy Pants, Lily Bee & Echo Park papers from my stash. The journal card is from Simple Stories. The yellow glitter alphas are Thickers.
I adore these pics of Drew & the kids building a sandcastle in Marco Island on our summer vacation-in 2009!

Be sure to play along with this, or any of June's challenges, & link up for a chance at this month's prize!
The Cutting Cafe is offering 3 sets from their store to one winner!

Have an awesome day!

A Sketch Layout

Hey y'all!
So a couple of weeks ago, Creative Scrappers had a birthday bash to celebrate their 6th birthday.
I used the sketch in the left hand column, second one down to create my latest layout:

And here is my layout

All papers are by Glitz Design from their Birthday Wishes collection.
The alphas here are from Studio Calico.

The "Love This" tag is by Heidi Swapp. I misted it with Studio Calico's Mister Huey in Dark Calico. The "today" tag is from MAMBI. The flair button is from Scraptastic Club.
The tag on top of the doily, as well as the other stickers shown here, are from Crate Paper's StyleBoard collection.

These photos were taken in May of 2010 when we were at Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina. The kids had so much fun looking for shells even though it was chilly & windy on the beach!

Thanks for visiting today! Make it a great one!
