"Hey Kid" Collection Recap

Hey guys! Happy Thursday! The weekend is almost here. And only 2 more weeks of school for our kids! Wow-I don't know yet if I am excited or scared-maybe a little bit of both!!

I want to share again today the layouts I made with the amazingly fun Hey Kid collection from Pink Paislee. I was lucky enough to receive this great kit from The Memory Nest  & have had a blast working with it!

Today is also Leslie Germain's birthday, owner of The Memory Nest. I want to say a huge "happy birthday" to her. Leslie is so sweet & kind & I have enjoyed working with, & getting to know her! Stop by the blog and leave her some birthday love too!

"Hey Kid" Layouts

Hey y'all! I am gonna do a quick post to share some recent layouts & then I need to head to bed! It  has been a long, exhausting week & I am beat!! My mom finally came home today from an 8 day stay in the hospital.

I was lucky enough to get to work with the Hey Kid collection from Pink Paislee. I had always loved the look of this line but was never fortunate enough to get my hands on it. May came along and changed that!

New To Me! New To You?

Hey y'all & welcome to the weekend!!
Leah had her 5th grade play last night & did an amazing job! It was fun to see all the kids having such a good time & they really enjoyed the production. She is sad now that it's over & in just a little over a month, she will graduate from elementary school! Don't even ask me how that is possible!! I am stunned that these 6 years have gone by as fast as they have. She has turned into a beautiful young lady & we couldn't be prouder of her accomplishments. (Wiping the tears away now!)

 On another note, The Memory Nest is running an awesome special this month and next.
 

There are so many amazing collections to create with ~ But have you

 created with them all?  May and June is a great time to try one of those 

"older" collections that you may have been eyeing!  

I am thrilled with the collection that is "new to me" and am having a great time creating with it! I'll share more about it & my projects later in the month, so stay tuned!

Spring & Easter Theme Pack

Hey y'all!
I recently received this gorgeous Spring/Easter theme pack from The Memory Nest  to create with
 
This product pack is jam packed with papers and embellishments at an amazing value.   TMN is clearing out the old to bring in the new. If you have Easter pics to scrap or fun spring ones, this may be the deal for you!!! I am having a blast creating with this kit!! 
Here are 2 layouts and a card that I have already made. (When Spring Break & Easter are behind us, I plan on creating a lot more!!)

  Everything here is from We R Memory Keepers & is from the kit, with the exception of the alphas (Thickers) & the flair (Recollections). I love how easy it was to put this layout together!

I am in love with this pink woodgrain paper from Jillibean soup! The rest of the papers & embellies here are from We R Memory Keepers. (The alphas are from my stash & are by Fancy Pants.)

Here is the card I made for Ty for Easter 

It's simple enough for a 7 year old boy to appreciate!

A Sketchy Layout

I have always loved playing along with sketches! They give me a starting point & they are just plain fun. I haven't had enough time to play creatively here recently, but I did make time over the weekend to create the following page. And it started with this sketch from The Memory Nest:
 
Love the circles here!

I used the papers from the color kit from TMN, "Weaving Color". The page is built upon the gorgeous paper from Crate. The chevron & striped papers are from Pink Paislee. My alphas are Thickers & were in my stash.

Weaving Color

Hey y'all!
Weaving Color is the name of one of the color kits this month from The Memory Nest. The one I got to work with. It was chock full of great papers from Crate, Pink Paislee, Echo Park & many more!
Here is my latest layout:

 I started with the orange cardstock (from the kit), and fussy cut the chevron patterns from a piece of Pink Paislee paper. I used my Sharpie paint pen to outline the top & bottom chevron strips.

  The chipboard arrows were also included in the kit!
The wood veneers here are all from Studio Calico. And the alphas are AC Thickers. The doilies are from Martha Stewart.

TMN Color Kits

Hey y'all & happy Thursday! First off I need to give a "happy anniversary" shout out to my husband Drew! Today we are celebrating 15 years of wedded matrimony. Hard to believe it's been that long & y'all, I don't feel that old!

Secondly, today is my first post for The Memory Nest. I am super excited to share with you the kit I was sent to work with! This month Leslie has created two color kits, "Feathers" & "Weaving Color". Here is "Weaving Color", the kit I received, and a photo of Leslie's color inspiration:

    The papers in this kit are gorgeous!! And the bright colors made me scream for joy!
 I fell in love instantly with the Pink Paislee papers! Here is my first layout:

I fussy cut the diamond shapes from a sheet of Pink Paislee paper & added them around the page here.

New Design Team!

Hey everyone! I hope you all are enjoying this Thursday. One day closer to the weekend!

I am so excited to finally share my latest scrappy news.
I have been asked to join the design team for The Memory Nest!! I am thrilled to work with Leslie, the owner of the store, and the other fabulous designers. You can see the DT announcement in it's entirety here.
