Top 15 of '15 (& A Giveaway)

Hey guys! It's been a long time since I have been around this ole blog! Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays.
Our holidays were good but busy. My sis, brother-in-law & nephew were in town so we spent a lot of time with them.
New Year's Eve was very quiet & we stayed home. My mom & her husband, my sis, bro-in-law & nephew came over & Leah had 3 friends come spend the night.
Ty has been sick with an unbearable cough & cold for the past week & w are hoping he can go back to school tomorrow!

I want to do a quick post with my favorite projects of 2015. I didn't do as much scrapping or crafting this year, so I hope I can come up with 15!!
Here they are (in no particular order):  And if you can get through the entire post, there is a giveaway at the end!

1. I loved the way this card turned out. It started with a sketch from Sketch "N Scrap.
2. This layout uses mostly Bella Blvd products & started with a sketch from SOUS.
3. This page also uses Bella Blvd goodies and began with a sketch from My Scraps & More.
4.These mason jars were so fun to decorate for Valentine's Day! (featuring flair from The Crafty Pickle.)
5.I loved the Capture collection from Basic Grey. This layout began with a sketch from My Scraps & More.
6.This page uses a mix of Basic Grey's Capture collection & Simple Stories' I Am collection (which was probably my all-time favorite collection of the year!).
7. Here I mixed I Am with October Afternoon's Saturday Morning & love the end result!
8.There is a lot going on on this page, but I love it & the subject matter.
9.This simple page began with a sketch from MSAM.
10.This card was created for CAS-UAL Chic using CAS-UAL Fridays stamps.
11.Here is another page using a sketch from MSAM. It was so fun designing for Audrey!
12.This page had me pulling out lots of old supplies & I love that I finally used them!
13.This card was also created for CAS-UAL Chic. I really enjoyed using string on my projects this year!!
14.I loved this line from Pink Paislee, even though it's a couple years old. A true oldey buy goody!
15.And lastly is this simple layout that I created to play along with Scrapbook Circle's sketch challenge. Look at those sweet faces!!

Now for my giveaway! Comment here & tell me which of the above 15 projects is your favorite. I'll choose one winner on Friday, January 8 to receive a box of scrappy goodness from me!

CAS-UAL Chic Challenge

Hey y'all & happy Friday! We are all preparing for the effects of hurricane Joaquin. I pray we are not hit too hard & that we don't lose power! Hope you all are safe where you are too.

It's the beginning of October (so hard to believe) & that means a new challenge at CAS-UAL Chic!

It's a tic-tac-to challenge!! What fun! Here is the card I created:

I went with "stitching", "coloring" & "distressing".
There is stitching on the die cut circles at  the bottom of the card; I distressed the edges of my papers & colored some of the circles on the white paper.
I used the star Fri Dies & the twinkle stamp set to stamp my sentiment.

Thanks for visiting! I hope you find some time this month to play along!!
Stay crafty!

Sweet Birthday Card

Hey y'all!
I am going to keep this post short as I am not feeling well today. My whole weekend was spent laying around the house trying to beat a very nasty cold! YUCK!

I have a card to share that is up on The Crafty Pickle blog today.

My sweet friend from high school (yep, we've been friends a LONG time!) had a birthday a week ago and I made her this card:

hbd 2u card

It's a pretty simple card, using scrap papers from  my stash, some rumpled ribbon, foam alphas and this very cute elephant flair button! She adores elephants and when I first saw this button from TCP, she came to mind!

Isn't the flair button the cutest?! I just love it and hope she enjoys this sweet card as well.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope it's a crafty one for you!

CAS-UAL Chic Challenge #3

Hey y'all! Happy Friday. It's a bittersweet day around here. My niece is flying to South Africa today & will be there for a month & a half on a mission trip. I am so very proud of her, but we will all miss her bunches & I am a bit worried about her too. We will be counting down the days 'til she returns!

Today the newest challenge is up over at CAS-UAL Chic and it is to include something musical on your project.

 Here is my card:

I used the Cupid's Arrows stamp set from the store & the Heart Board Fri-Dies.

I also used some scrap sheet music paper along with a sentiment regarding music!

Be sure to play along with this challenge and link up on the blog for a chance at a fabulous prize!!

Have a great weekend. I hope to be back soon!
Keep crafting!

Pretty Patterns

Hey y'all! Happy Friday!
Today the current challenge is up at CAS-UAL Chic!

For this challenge, we are celebrating patterns! You could use patterned papers, a pattern stamp such as chevrons, houndstooth, etc, or even a pattern you create! Make sure to show us your layers, too!

I created a general greeting card that could be used for a birthday, thank you, congrats, etc.

I used a green chevron paper & a star patterned paper. The hearts are from the heart board Fri-Die set and the "I love you" stamp is from the Cupid's Arrows set . Both can be found in the store.  My papers are from Bella Blvd.

Here is a close-up:

I added the red twine & popped up the heart to give the card more dimension & interest.

You can enter your projects-cards, tags, layouts, etc-until August 28th!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you at CAS-UAL Chic!!

Bookmark/ Card

Hi y'all!! I'm sorry my updates here have been so scarce recently. My son is playing in an All-Stars baseball tournament & that has taken up most of our time lately! My daughter is not thrilled with it, but I have to say, I am enjoying watching these 8 year-olds play ball. They are all extremely good & so far, have a 3&0 record!!

I have made some time for crafting & today have to share my latest project using The Crafty Pickle flair & CTMH products. I made a card that could be given for many different occasions-birthday, congratulations, thank you, etc.
enjoy card

I used the "I Love Books" flair button, some washi tape and self-adhesive sequins, all from The Crafty Pickle shop.

I love to read! Unfortunately, my kids do not love it that much and I am constantly trying to entice them into reading. I thought this card might do the trick!
I slipped in a little bookmark that can be pulled out of the top of the card & used when reading. I also thought it would be nice to give the card with a bookstore gift card inside!

Products used:
CTMH Boardwalk washi tape
I Love Books TCP flair

Thanks for visiting! Hope to be back soon!

All Star Card

Hey y'all! It has been a little bit busy & crazy around here recently! I haven't had time to do much crafting (or anything else for that matter)!

But I do have a card to share that I made for my son Ty who was selected to play on our Little League’s All Star team. He was at practice yesterday & fractured his finger when a ball popped up & hit his finger (fourth time it happened in a week).
I figured this card was perfect to give him some encouragement & support right now! Poor guy was so upset that he wouldn't be able to play in the tournament that begins Saturday! The doctor told him to keep his finger wrapped  & rest this week & he would be fine to play the tournament games-YAY!

all star

I punched stars from my card with my Fiskars craft punch. I then used leftover acetate from an old package to place on the inside of my card. Once the top piece of acetate was strongly secured to the card, I filled it with the Star Spangled Relish Mix sequins from the shop. After I had the desired amount of sequins inside, I secured the other side of the acetate with redline tape.
I then added some twine, one of my punched stars & some self-adhesive sequin dots.

My glitter alphas (that I adore) are AC Thicker's.

I hope this helps my little guy feel a bit better!

Thank You Card

Hey everyone! Another Monday has rolled around too soon! And it's raining here, again! We haven't been to the pool in over a week & my kids (& me ) are missing it!!

I am up on the blog today over at The Crafty Pickle. I am featuring flair on a greeting card. I created this thank you card to send to our family members that recently hosted us at their lake house.

Dress up a greeting card with flair @ TheCraftyPickle.com

I began with a pre-made card and then punched 3 butterflies in coordinating colors. The flair I used here is the adorable butterfly from the “Cute Bugs” set. I love the added touch of something pretty when you open the card too! You can find this, as well as so much more, in the shop!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Make it a crafty day!
