Oh Happy Day

Hey y'all! Hope your day is starting out as a happy one. Mine would be if I could get rid of these allergies!!
UGH! They are bad this year. We are all popping Claritin & hoping for rain around here!
But I won't complain too much because the dreaded winter is behind us & I love Spring!
That leads me into today's Lovebug Creations' project. I made this simple card using Mama's Mesh in white and the gorgeous "Purple-Dise" rumple ribbon from the On the Edge collection.

I just love the white ribbon with a touch of purple on the edge. It is so fresh and pleasing to the eye. And the mesh gives it some added texture, which this card needed because of it's simplicity.
The tag and "springtime" paper are from We R Memory Keepers.

Lovebug Creations' Wednesday

Hey y'all!

Another Wednesday & things are crazy busy around here! And we also got more snow & ice yesterday so the kids were home from school. And on a 2 hour delay today! Spring can't come soon enough!!!
 I am the co-chair for the Book Fair at their school, which just wrapped up yesterday, & the yearbook. This is a hectic time of year with both of them going on. Last week I was at school for most of every day. I am enjoying taking photos for the yearbook & am getting anxious to see it come together.

Wednesday means that I have a Lovebug Creations' project to share with you! Today it is a tag. Ty had a friend's birthday party to attend on Saturday, & I did not have the time to make a card. So I put together this birthday tag:

    I started with older scraps of paper from October Afternoon's Sasparilla collection. I used the green Mama's Mesh   from the Hallo-Mesh collection from Lovebug Creations.

I love the added interest the mesh lends to any project. The green really pops here. I tied it to the top of the tag along with some twine and the present was complete!

Mama's Mesh Monday!

Hello again friends!
Two posts in one day?! Crazy!!
I now want to share my project for Mama's Mesh Mondays over at Lovebug Creations.
With Christmas sneaking up on us FAST (only 9 days away), I am trying to get everything done, in what feels like now, a mad rush! I made another tag to adorn someone's gift:

I love the texture & interest that the mesh adds to every project! Here I used the dark green from the Merry Mesh collection.

The snowflakes were punched with my Marvy Uchida punch. The brad is from My Mind's Eye & the "25" bingo marker is from Tim Holtz.

Mama's Mesh Monday

It's Monday again which means I have a project to share using Mama'a Mesh from Lovebug Creations.
My nephew is turning 6 on Thursday (yes, 2 days after Leah's birthday-talk about crazy time of the year)!
I made him this card:

 I started by layering the kraft cardstock on top of the red. I used the Light Yellow Mama's Mesh from the Hallo-Mesh collection. Love the bright pop of yellow! It is so cheery!! The vellum banner is from Basic Grey; the alphas & "6" are Thickers; & I punched the gold star from gold corrugated cardstock using my star punch.

Tomorrow is Leah's 11 birthday! We are taking the kids out of school early to have lunch then go see Santa. It is somewhat of a tradition that we started when she was in pre-school.
I have to go wrap birthday presents now!

Mama's Mesh Monday!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday- Mama's Mesh Monday!!
Today is also my nephew's 19th birthday-happy birthday, Hayden!

I made him a card using Lovebug Creations' Mama's Mesh. I wanted the card to have a masculine, mature feel to it & struggled with a design. After much hemming & hawing, this is what I came up with:

I started with the textured cardstock and adhered Mama's Mesh in black from the Hallo-Mesh collection. I then punched squares from scrap cardstock and adhered the burgundy mesh from the Merry Mesh collection to them. The sentiment is stamped using an Imaginisce stamp and Stamp It Up ink.
The "19" chipboard numbers are Thickers from American Crafts.

  
Hopefully this card will be well-received! (he is only 19.)  LOL!!

Mama's Mesh Monday

Hey everyone & welcome to another Monday! They sure do come around quickly, don't they?!
While they are difficult, I find them exciting now, as I get to share my projects using Lovebug Creations' mesh!

Today I made a Christmas tag. I am trying hard to be vigilant & stay ahead of the curve his year. I don't want to get caught in a tight pinch as the big day draws near!!

I used Mama's Mesh in burgundy from the Merry Mesh collection to cover the chipboard hexagon. First, I misted it with a red Glimmer Mist. My alphas are AC Thickers and I topped my tag off with a beautiful bow made with Christmas Grunge  rumple ribbon.

Baby Card

Hi friends! Hope you all had a great weekend!
Ours was busy, but very good! Leah was in a horse show at the barn on Saturday morning & she placed second in her class!

 We are extremely proud of her! She is becoming quite the equestrian (which makes this momma very happy)!
Saturday night the barn had a Halloween party. We took the kids & our nephew for some food & fun.
Today I had a friend's baby shower to attend. Charlotte does not know the baby's gender, so I tried to make a neutral card:

  I started with the chevron paper from Fancy Pants' Collecting Memories collection. On top of the green cardstock I added Mama's Mesh in white. I love the texture of the mesh & the dimension & added interest it lends to my card. I think without it my card would look very flat. I misted the scalloped flower chipboard with Glimmer Mist. The penant is made from another piece of Fancy Pants' paper. The alphas are AC Thickers.

LBC Friday!

Yep, it's Friday again!And around here that means it's my day to share my Lovebug Creations' project with you all.
I again made a card, but today used the fabulous Mama's Mesh! This product is so unique & versatile. It lends a distinct texture to any creation.

    I started with a pre-printed, thick cardstock for my base and added the brown mesh from the Hallo-Mesh collection. I love brown as it is neutral & can be used with so many color combos!
The "friends" card is from Simple Stories "Smarty Pants" collection. The wooden scalloped circle is from Studio Calico & the alphas here are older cork ones from Making Memories.
