Overdue

Hey y'all. Hope you're having a good Saturday! It is rainy & nasty out today so I am taking this opportunity to stay in & get caught up on some things around the house. How is it that we have been home from our fabulous Floridian vacation for almost a week already?! This summer is flying by!!!!!

One thing I need to share is my latest layout foe the My Scraps & More. It went live on July 3 (while we were in Florida). It's another fun one from Audrey!

Here is my layout:

I used a mix of papers from my stash from October Afternoon & Simple Stories.

The flat back flair is from Jenni Bowlin. The "now" die cut is from Pink Paislee. The other stickers are from Simple Stories & the enamel dots are from My Mind's Eye. My alphas are from AC Thickers.

Head on over to the blog & check out the other DT members' layouts. Also, if you play along with this sketch, be sure to link up here.

Have a great one!

MSAM #106

Hi friends & followers!
We are busy bees around here getting ready for the end of the school year, going  to baseball games & lessons, Leah is babysitting 2 days a week after school & getting ready to try out for cheerleading at her school.
I am late in sharing my latest layout using the fabulous sketch from My Scraps & More.  Sketch #106 was created by the amazing Ana Castro:

Here is my page:

The kraft filmstrip papers are from Fancy Pants. They worked perfectly with this sketch!! (I knew I was hoarding them for a reason!)

I used a mix of stickers & embellishments here, too. The phrase stickers, suitcase & heart stickers are all from Simple Stories I Am collection.

The "my favorites" sticker is from Basic Grey's Capture collection.

There is a wonderful prize up for grabs this month!

Then & Now

Hey y'all! I am here to share my latest layout using the current sketch from Stuck On U Sketches. It was created by Leah Schaeffer. Here is a look:

Isn't it so fun?! Here is what I created:

I started by using pink & blue watercolors on the white cardstock. I found this old picture of Leah on her toy horse from when she was 16 months old. Who knew then that she would grow up to ride live horses?!

I used a mix of journal cards, die cuts & stickers from Simple Stories I Am collection & some other stickers from Basic Grey's Capture collection.

I had so much fun creating this & loved doing the watercolor effects. I will definitely do it again!

I hope you get the chance to play along & link up with us!

Thanks for stopping by!
Take care!!

Joyful

Hey y'all! I want to share the latest layout I created, using My Scraps & More Sketches' sketch #105. This sketch was designed by the fabulous Audrey Yeager! Here, take a look:

And here is my layout:

I started with white cardstock & placed a large piece of paper at the bottom. I have mixed up manufacturers here again. Papers and stickers are from Simple Stories & October Afternoon. I love the way these two lines, I Am & Saturday Mornings coordinate!!

This is a photo of Leah with a Jonas Brothers CD that she was sooo excited to receive, Christmas 2010!!
I layered a couple pieces of paper & some white tissue paper under my photo.

I was able to pull out my favorite punch, the deer head from EK Success. I layered it on top of some fringe-cut tissue paper & added a rhinestone to the antler. The house sticker is from Simple Stories.

Here's another deer & my alphas are from AC Thickers.

I hope you find the time to play along with Audrey's awesome sketch! Link up if you do! We love seeing all your creations!  And, you'll be entered into the drawing to win this lovely prize!!

May Prize!

Stay crafty, my friends!

I Am....

Hey y'all & happy Sunday!! It's a rainy & cold one here today so we're waiting to hear if Ty will play baseball or not. If not, it's gonna be a movie day!

I want to quickly share my layout using sketch #104 from My Scraps & More Sketches.

This awesome sketch was designed by this month's guest designer, Nicole Nowosad. Isn't it amazing?!!!!!!!!
Here is my layout:

I used the I Am collection again from Simple Stories. I can not get enough of this beautiful line!!
I cut 5 strips out of coordinating papers in different widths to create the background.

I layered some journaling cards over white tissue paper. I love using tissue paper on my pages. It gives the layout more interest & dimension.

A banner sticker holds the date & I placed some heart stickers around the page.

I cut these words/phrases from one of the journal cards to create a title/journaling for my page "& loved, so happy, so thankful, fearless".

Thanks for stopping by today! We'd love for you to lay along with this fun sketch & link up here. We would love to see what  you create!

Nellie-SOUS Sketch

Hi y'all! Happy Thursday!! I'm popping in today amidst the busyness to share my layout using the April 10th sketch from Stuck On U Sketches. This wonderful sketch was created by the talented Nanne. Here is a look at the sketch

Don't you love it! All the layers & fun elements are amazing! Here is what I created:

I started with a sheet of white cardstock then added papers from Basic Grey's Capture collection. I also mixed in some paper from Simple Stories I Am collection. I cut a piece of patterned paper to 8x8 & then started adding layers on top of that.

The tags behind the speech bubble paper (from BG) at the top of the page were used to record all the nicknames we have for our dog, Nellie. The label sticker is from BG & my alphas used to spell her name are from American Crafts. The smaller alpha stickers are from Tim Holtz.

The "I am" stickers are from Simple Stories. I can not get enough of this collection! I placed them on top of a pink doily with a few star stickers. All products were purchased at the My Scraps & More store.

I love the soft pastel colors here. This photo is of our sweet dog who was only 6 months old at the time. She is now 5 & is quite the moose!

I hope you have found some inspiration here and that you can find the chance to play along!! Link up here if you play along so we can see your creations!

Better Late Than Never?!

Hey y'all! Sorry I have been MIA around here. It has been a hectic & busy few weeks with Easter (we had the family dinner & egg hunt at our house), Spring break (we traveled  to the beach for two days) & other things that are going on that have kept me away from my blog!
I want to share here the latest sketch from My Scraps & More Sketches, #103:

I love the slanted design here! Audrey always creates such great sketches!!
Here is what I created:

Everything here is from Simple Stories "I Am" collection & was purchased in the My Scraps & More store.

I used a few layers & placed some white tissue paper under my photo for more dimension. The journal cards in this collection are to die for!!

I always love feathers & use them any chance I get.

Some wood veneer embellishments add more dimension. I love that picture of my sweet-faced little boy having a blast at our local park!

I added pop dots to some of the stickers for more interest.

We hope you get the chance to play along with this awesome sketch! Here is a look at this month's prize
April Prize!

Link up here for your chance to win!!

Thanks for visiting y'all! Have a great Sunday! (We are going to enjoy every last minute before the kids head back to school tomorrow!)

Keep Calm &.....

Another Monday is upon us & this one brings with it a new PL challenge at Stuck On U Sketches!
This week's challenge is to use a "Keep Calm" card on your project. There are many out there so the possibilities are endless. And if you can't find the perfect one (I printed mine from the web), you can always make one of your own!
Here is my spread:
I  used the "Keep Calm and Call Batman" card knowing it would work perfectly with this picture of Ty from Halloween 2010! He went through a super hero phase at this age and I loved it!

The two smaller cards at the bottom are from Simple Stories. The wood veneer heart is from Studio Calico & the yellow alphas that I used to spell out "super" are from Cosmo Cricket.

The arrow card is from WRMK & the cork telephone (how appropriate!), "love" & 3 tags are all from Crate Paper. The wood arrow is again from SC.

We hope you find the time to play along with this, or any of our monthly challenges, at SOUS. We love seeing what you create!!
Til next time, keep calm!

Hey y'all! It's Monday again, the last one in August!!
Today the newest Project Life challenge is up at Stuck On U Sketches and it is to use twine on your spread. So easy, right?! There is no reason to not play along!!
Here is my page:
I used twine to tie a bow onto the stem of the little flag (which is from Basic Grey) and tied some more around the "hello" card (from MAMBI).
The blue foam alphas are Thickers. The "remember this" card is from Glitz. The small yellow alpha stickers are from Cosmo Cricket.

I have used a mix of PL cards here from Simple Stories, MAMBI & MME.
This month's sponsor for the challenge is
