Good Times-SOUS Sketch

Hey y'all! Hope this Thursday finds you well (& ready for the weekend)! I know I am ready to relax this weekend & do nothing (aside from attend Ty's first baseball game-weather permitting-& Leah's end of the season gymnastics lunch)!! I am wiped out from the last few weeks & want to hang low, enjoy time together & maybe watch some movies.

Today I am sharing my layout using the latest sketch over at Stuck On U Sketches . This fun & funky sketch was created by the fabulous Leah!

Here is what I created:

I used the same placement for my photo & papers as the sketch. Everything shifted to the right side of the page & I love the look! I started with a spattering of gold mist on the white cardstock.

I grabbed my Notes & Things  6x6 paper pad from Crate Paper & layered a few pieces under my photo. I decided to place a heart shaped doily under my picture to replicate the heart from the sketch.

The camera is also from Crate Paper, the Close Knit collection, as is the dimensional heart.

The feathers are from Studio Calico and the "love this" arrow is also from Crate Paper.

We hope you find the time to play along with this fun sketch! Link up here if  you do. We love seeing your creations!
Thanks for stopping by today!!
 Stay crafty xo

MSAM Sketch DT

Hey y'all! Happy Friday-I guess?! We got some snow AGAIN yesterday & the kids didn't go to school. I can't even tell  you how done I am with this winter weather!!! I am longing to see the sun & warm weather & to be able to get outside again. Hopefully soon!

I am excited to announce that I was chosen for the My Scraps & More Sketches design team! I am thrilled to work with some very talented ladies & such awesome sketches!! You can read the entire post here.
Today I am sharing my first layout with MSAM. This sketch is from Audrey:

And here is my layout:

I started by splattering gold mist around my page. The feather roller stamp is from Glitz Design. I used My Mind's Eye Market Street collection to create this page about my daughter's soccer team from when she was little.

The cork arrows from Jillibean Soup. I love the flow they lend to my layout! The cork hearts & stars are also from Jillibean Soup. The chipboard stars that I used here are from Studio Calico. They were very lightly misted with a red mist.

The wooden crown is old from my stash. As I'm getting older, my memory is failing me & I can't remember who made it!

This large paper doily is from My Mind's Eye & because I love it so, I have been holding on to it for some time!! My alphas & the asterisks are from AC Thickers.
I loved how this sketch used so many different shapes & bits & pieces! I hope you get the chance to play along. Link up here for a chance at  this month's prize!

Thanks for stopping by.
Get your craft on!

Feb 13 SOUS Sketch

Hey friends! Happy Thursday. I hope y'all are staying warm. It is colder than I ever remember it being here where we are.
Today I have a layout to share that was created using the current sketch from Stuck On U Sketches which was created by the fabulous Nanne:

Here is my page

I used the Kiss Me collection from Bella Blvd (again) for this "sweet" page about Ty dressing up in Leah's girly accessories! I stayed pretty true to the sketch as I loved all the paper strips & the layers.

I began by adding gold mist splatters. All of my flair buttons here are from The Crafty Pickle

How yummy are the papers & title strips here?! The alpha stickers are also from Bella Blvd!

I hand cut a medium sized heart from one of the patterned papers & fussy cut the ice cream cone from a sheet of borders & die cuts. I popped it up to give my page a little more dimension.

I love this sweet boy so very much! He is a hoot & keeps us laughing!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day & stay warm!

KG Love

Hey y'all! Happy Friday the 13th! Hope it's been a good day. Pretty quiet around here.
I took treats into Ty's class & Drew & I had lunch. We have no plans for the night, but it is extremely cold here so we may just stay in! Perfect weather to snuggle up & watch a movie!

I want to share my latest layout. I created it using this sketch from The Studio Challenges:

And here is what I came up with:

I pulled out my Crate Paper Notes & Things 6x6 paper pad. After dropping some gold mist on my page, I chose a few papers to work with. The beautiful gold doily is from Studio Calico.

All of my embellishments are a mix of Crate Paper products. The gold glitter alphas are from AC Thicker's-love them!!

I added some tissue paper underneath my photo for some extra layers. I was so excited to finally use so many CP stickers that I have had in my stash for ages!!

I have also been holding onto this photo of Leah from Kindergarten year (she is now in 6th grade)! I thought the papers worked wonderfully for this picture of my sweet girl.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous Friday!!
Hugs,
~Stephanie

Clear Up-The Studio Challenges

Hey y'all! Hope you're enjoying your Saturday. We are staying warm inside as the temps are pretty chilly here! Trying to get things done around the house before we head out to dinner with friends tonight.
I was able to create a page for the current challenge at The Studio Challenges. It is to use what's on your desk at the moment and clear it up! I was lucky, as there is a lot of product and scraps laying all over my desk! Here is my page
I used the remainder of the October Afternoon paper from the Farm Girl collection that was left from a previous page. The other papers are from my stash & were on my desk to punch from. I grabbed them & cut & scattered them around my photos. Before I laid anything down, I "painted" my cardstock with gold mist. I love doing this as the result is thin, not as thick as paint on my page.

The AC Thickers were laying on my desk, as was the "3" tag from Crate Paper. The stickers are all from an American Crafts Dear Lizzy sticker stack that has been laying on my desk for months
because I love it so much!

My snowflake punch from Martha Stewart is getting quite the workout this winter & I never do seem to put it away!! The glitter cardstock is also a seasonal favorite.

These sweet enamel shapes from My Mind's Eye were screaming to be used!!

These photos always make me smile! We had just gotten our puppy, Nellie & she was about 10 weeks old here. Ty, being a typical three year old, couldn't decide if he loved her or loathed her! On this day, when he was trying to build "snow castles" & she was eating them or knocking them down, he was very upset with her & definitely leaned toward the loathing feeling!

Hope you  have time to craft this weekend!!

Friday-YAY!

Hey y'all! It's Friday-YAY!!
I have two projects to share today featuring flair from The Crafty Pickle . The first one is a card that I made for my daughter who is trying out for her school gymnastics team this week! She was nervous & pretty certain that she wouldn't make the team, so I wanted to make her a card to give her a little extra encouragement!!
I started with this sketch from Cardabilities:

I used my Martha Stewart punch to create the branches in the background. The "shine" flair button is from TCP & can be found here .
I love the combination of colors & textures here! Hope she enjoys the cad too (even if she doesn't make the team!) I will always be her biggest fan, regardless!

My next project is a layout that started with sketch from Sketchabilities:

I just love a good sketch & this one really caught my eye! Sketchabilities is also teaming up with the challenge site, White With One for this sketch challenge. You are to use white & the color "placid blue". Here is my page:
I used scrap papers from my stash (I am on a roll using them up nowadays!) and the flair here is also from The Crafty Pickle.
The "snapshots" flair is from their adorable Bright Everyday set. This set comes with 6 buttons that are prefect for any layout, card or PL spread!
The "shake your flakes" flair button comes by itself & is the perfect embellishment for all your winter projects!!  It's too cute!

I added in other embellishments to complete my page and give it more dimension from Elle's Studio, Pink Paislee, October Afternoon & Studio Calico.

Thanks for visiting on this Friday!

Bumper Cars-More Bella Blvd

Happy Hump Day y'all!
We got a small amount of sleet/freezing rain early this morning so the kids are at home today. There is a chance for more this afternoon but I am hoping that does not happen! They need to go back to school tomorrow- I need them to go back to school!

I have another layout to share using Bella Blvd's Lucky Starz collection.
For this one, I started with a sketch from My Scraps & More Sketches.

I started with white cardstock & splattered some black mist. The triangles were cut from a piece of BB paper. I like the way they give the page a feeling of movement.

The chipboard pieces here are from UmWow Studio.

My alpha stickers are also from Bella Blvd & the acetate word diamonds are from Studio Calico.

The cork "way to go" phrase is by Scrapbook Circle.

These photos were taken in spring of 2010 at an area amusement park. Ty & my nephew LOVED the bumper cars that year & rode them numerous times this day! They had so much fun & created great memories! I wish they could have stayed that little!

Thanks for visiting! I so appreciate it!
Create on!!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

That statement has never rung truer!! As a lot of the country is getting slammed by an arctic blast, I am staying warm inside & creating in my craft room. As long as there is no snow & the kids go to school, I will continue to enjoy these frigid days!
My latest creation is a card made using the most recent card sketch from Sketch 'N Scrap:

What a fun winter time sketch! Here is what I came up with:

I started with grey cardstock & cut the base of my card. The green polka dot paper is from Crate Paper's Notes & Things collection (love it). The journal card is from October Afternoon's Silent Night collection (an all-time fave of mine!). I used some paper strips from my stash & my new favorite punch-the deer head from EK Success.
I am going to have to find other ways to showcase this punch on my projects now that the holidays are over! I am obsessed with it!! The flair button is from The Crafty Pickle. Their flair is awesome!!
The small blue piece of paper is a scrap that I misted with blue & red mists. It was just laying on my desk so I grabbed it & stuck it down!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a great weekend & stay warm!

A Lovely Gift

Hey y'all! I hope this day is treating you well! We are fighting off colds around here & trying to get healthy for the New Year!
I have a post to share today featuring flair & sequins from The Crafty Pickle. I made a layout using this sketch from Stuck?! Sketches:

Here is my page:
I started by stamping the circles on my cardstock. I then added strips of paper from my stash. I love, love, love using up scraps!!

The black & white striped paper is from Glitz & the multi-colored snowflake paper is from Imaginisce. The stars are from Pink Paislee & the journal card is from Pretty Little Studio.

Here is a closer look at the red & white flair button from TCP. I love how festive it is! I also love how well it matches the paper here from Elle's Studio. You can get a good look at the Christmas sequins mix here too.
The crown is from Um Wow Studios & I misted it red then added some coarse glitter.

This arrow flair button is glittery & the perfect accent to my Christmas page!

There's more of the yummy Christmas sequins & the ornament die cut is from Pink Paislee. My alphas are from Fancy Pants.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a crafty day!

Peace, Love & Friends

Hey y'all & Happy Saturday!! I have another layout to share for my guest design spot at Paper Wings Productions !
I have used again the September Mixed Media kit which is full of wonderful items, including My Minds Eye Market Street papers & diecuts, UmWow Studio chipboard and so much more!!
I started by splattering mist on my cardstock in black & gold.
I love the papers in this collection & wanted to showcase some favorites here. The black & gold striped paper makes a great anchor & from there, I added other papers on top.
The paper bow is adorable & works wonderfully on my feminine page! The resin flower on the top is from my stash. The mini alphas are from Tim Holtz & are also included in the kit, as is the acetate film strip.
Here you can see the chipboard glasses & crown from UmWow that I misted with green & gold mist. Love the way they look!
I used my scallop circle punch to add some half circles along the top & bottom of my page. Fringe scissors were used to add great dimension to the scrap tissue paper under all my paper layers!

You can find this kit, along with so much more, in the Paper Wings shop.
Make it a crafty day!
