Top 15 of '15 (& A Giveaway)

Hey guys! It's been a long time since I have been around this ole blog! Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays.
Our holidays were good but busy. My sis, brother-in-law & nephew were in town so we spent a lot of time with them.
New Year's Eve was very quiet & we stayed home. My mom & her husband, my sis, bro-in-law & nephew came over & Leah had 3 friends come spend the night.
Ty has been sick with an unbearable cough & cold for the past week & w are hoping he can go back to school tomorrow!

I want to do a quick post with my favorite projects of 2015. I didn't do as much scrapping or crafting this year, so I hope I can come up with 15!!
Here they are (in no particular order):  And if you can get through the entire post, there is a giveaway at the end!

1. I loved the way this card turned out. It started with a sketch from Sketch "N Scrap.
2. This layout uses mostly Bella Blvd products & started with a sketch from SOUS.
3. This page also uses Bella Blvd goodies and began with a sketch from My Scraps & More.
4.These mason jars were so fun to decorate for Valentine's Day! (featuring flair from The Crafty Pickle.)
5.I loved the Capture collection from Basic Grey. This layout began with a sketch from My Scraps & More.
6.This page uses a mix of Basic Grey's Capture collection & Simple Stories' I Am collection (which was probably my all-time favorite collection of the year!).
7. Here I mixed I Am with October Afternoon's Saturday Morning & love the end result!
8.There is a lot going on on this page, but I love it & the subject matter.
9.This simple page began with a sketch from MSAM.
10.This card was created for CAS-UAL Chic using CAS-UAL Fridays stamps.
11.Here is another page using a sketch from MSAM. It was so fun designing for Audrey!
12.This page had me pulling out lots of old supplies & I love that I finally used them!
13.This card was also created for CAS-UAL Chic. I really enjoyed using string on my projects this year!!
14.I loved this line from Pink Paislee, even though it's a couple years old. A true oldey buy goody!
15.And lastly is this simple layout that I created to play along with Scrapbook Circle's sketch challenge. Look at those sweet faces!!

Now for my giveaway! Comment here & tell me which of the above 15 projects is your favorite. I'll choose one winner on Friday, January 8 to receive a box of scrappy goodness from me!

Thanks for sticking around! I'm hoping 2016 allows for a lot more scrapping!

Winter Wonderland-SOUS Sketch

Hey y'all! Happy 2015! It's a cold one here today. The low was 10* & the high is only supposed to be 27*! We are in the throes of winter!!
I am here today to share my layout using the first sketch of the New Year over at Stuck On U Sketches! It's a fabulous one  too, created by Leah. Have a look:

And here is my layout:
I loved this line from Teresa Collin's, Santa's List. And I have been hoarding it for a year now!! Time to use it up & make room for new holiday collections! I wanted to keep the focus on this fun patterned paper, but took the circle elements & snowflakes from the sketch. I also used the picture & title placement from the sketch as well.
I pulled out my Martha Stewart Arctic snowflake punch and my Marvy large snowflake punch to create more snowflakes on my page.

All the stickers here are from Teresa Collins.

The gold doily came from Studio Calico. I love the shimmer it lends to my layout!
This is a pretty straight forward, simple page but I wanted the photos to play star here. They are of Ty & my nephew being pulled in a sled  through the snow one winter's day. They were just itty bitty & had so much fun in the "winter wonderland"!

We hope you get the chance to play along with this fun sketch. We love seeing your creations! Be sure to  link up with the current sketch on the blog.

Have a wonderful day, y'all!! Brrr! Hope you are staying warm.

Happy 2015!

Happy (belated) New Year friends! I know I am a few days late but things got busy around here. We had a great time at our friends' wedding on New Year's Eve, despite being separated from the kids. They had fun at their aunt & uncle's house & went to the movies & had ice cream at 11:30 at night!

On New Year's day, we had a Christmas gift exchange with our neighbors & then brought in the New Year with collards & hopping john for good luck. We then went to my brother & sis-in-law's house for chili & to watch some football with family.

On the second, we traveled to Arlington National cemetery to visit my hubby's parents' graves. The cemetery looked so pretty & tranquil with a wreath on every grave.

From there we hopped over to the National Harbor to see all the decorations, have lunch & ride the Capital Wheel. That was an adventure! I felt sick for the rest of the day!! We met my sister, brother-in-law & nephew there also.

We had dinner in Olde Town Alexandria before heading home. It was a fun-filled day & A nice getaway.

The kids headed back to school yesterday & that was an adjustment! Ty told me yesterday afternoon that during school his brain was not working right! Too many days of playing & electronics will do that to a kid. Glad they are back on their regular schedules now!

I wanted to thank you all for being a part of my life via this blog. It means a lot to have followers here & the comments you send warm my heart! thanks for sticking around & here's to hoping 2015 is an amazing year for y'all!
Cheers!

Hey y'all! Happy New Year's Eve!! Can you believe 2014 is almost over?! I am in disbelief!
We have a wedding to got to tonight, so I wanted to pop in now & list my favorite layouts of the year.
Gonna make it quick so we can spend some family tie together before we have to leave the kids. : (

Here goes:
1.
This layout was inspired by one that I saw in an old winter issue of Scrapbooks Etc.
2.
I fell in love with this collection from Echo Park the minute I laid eyes on it!!
3.
Another layout using the fun collection from EP!
4.
This layout was just plain fun to make! Plus, I love Christmas!!
5.
I created this using a sketch & had so much fun pulling together all the bits & pieces!
6.
This layout was created using an online challenge & I loved pulling scraps & older items from my stash to complete it!
7.
This collection from Pink Paislee was awesome for kids! And how cute are the pics of Ty?!
8.
This one also started with a sketch. I loved making a mess here!
9.
This was for another online challenge. I adore the way it turned out. And the photo is pretty cute! : )
10.

This layout also started with a sketch ( is there a trend?!). I like how simple it is.
11.
Another sketch layout! I played around with mists on this one.
12.
This one started with a sketch & ABC challenge. FUN!
13.
I created this one for my guest spot at Paper Wings Productions recently. It uses mostly all My Mind's Eye.
14.

This one I just made for the sketch challenge at SOUS. I love the colors here!

So there you have them! I hope you enjoyed looking back with me. Have a happy & safe New Years' Eve!

Sketchabilities/Lily Bee

Happy 2014 y'all!!
I hope you guys had a great New Year's Eve & are enjoying the year so far.
We had a quiet night here. Drew was not feeling the greatest & I was still trying to bounce back from the flu. We went to dinner at a burger restaurant that Drew has been wanting to try for awhile now. Afterwards, we took the kids downtown to see the Christmas lights/decorations.

Then we came home & made a fun punch with the kids (non-alcoholic), watched the ball drop & swiftly went to bed!

I am looking forward to a new year & fresh possibilities!

I want to share  the latest layout that I created using Sketchabilities' latest sketch:

And here is my layout:

I had fun pulling items from my stash to create here! The rub-ons are older from 7 Gypsies; the Lily Bee paper is from one of my favorite collections! The background paper is from Glitz Designs. The alphas are AC Thickers & the starburst wood veneers are from Studio Calico. The banner at the top of the page is from Basic Grey & the date strip & "summertime fun" tag are from Elle's Studio. All of these products are so much fun to play with!! Love the result!

Thanks for stopping by.
See you soon!

LCTS Reveal #164

Hey y'all and Happy New Year!! I hope everyone of you had a wonderful holiday. We spent the evening at my brother & sil's house with my family ringing in 2013. The kids made it to see the ball drop & didn't get to bed until extremely late!! It's a good thing they have another 5 days off to recuperate.
Sorry I have been MIA-our p.c. got a terribly destructive virus the day after Christmas & we just got it back tonight!!!!!!!! I have felt like my right arm was missing!
There is so much I have missed in blogging during that week. First up was a reveal at Let's Capture These Sketches. The sketch was created by Isabelle Doucette, owner of the blog. Here's a peek at it:

And here is my layout:

Sadly, this is my last sketch on the design team with LCTS. My term is up. I want to say "thank you" to Isabelle, Rosemary & all the other girls at LCTS for including me there for the past 6 months! I had a great time & loved every skecth I created with!! I will be popping by still to play along, for sure!
I will be back tomorrow to catch up more. Right now, I need to hit the hay as my neck is killing me!
Good night all!

2012!

Happy New Year all! I hope last night was enjoyed by everyone. We had a blast at our neighbor's party (even the kids had fun)! They also managed to stay awake to watch the ball drop & ring in the New Year w/ us. They didn't get to bed until 12:45 a.m. & slept in this morning extremely late. Needless to say, they are going to have a rough week adjusting to the school schedule!

Today was beautiful day here, about 65 degrees! We had a very relaxed day & spent lots of time outside. The kids set up a "yard sale" with their friends & tried to sell some old toys. We walked the dogs & rode scooters & just enjoyed being together with nothing planned.

I have heard lots of people say they are glad that 2011 is behind us. I know friends that had an extremely hard & trying year. We were fortunate enough to have had a decent year. I am excited for the new year & opportunities & adventures that lie ahead. I will begin babysitting a 3 month-old baby girl at the end of this month. The kids are excited to have a baby around! I do not usually make resolutions, but have thought that this year I would like to:
be more present in each moment;
learn to take better pictures;
make "girl time" for me & Leah;
try to be better at accomplishing goals set, whatever they may be.

I am excited for the endless possibilities that a new year brings. I wish for all of you health, happiness & much love!
Blessing!
~Stephanie
