What's Up Wednesday-Paper Wings Productions GDT

Hi y'all! I am sharing today another post for my design spot at Paper Wings Productions. Today I am hosting the What's Up Wednesday feature!

I have some winter themed cards to share. These will be great for the Christmas season, but also after the holidays are over, they can be sent as winter cards!!

I started by punching many snowflakes from different colored cardstock. 

I saw the idea for these cards on Pinterest. I love the wreath made from snowflakes!!

I used glue dots to form a circle with my punched snowflakes. 

On some cards I did only one layer of snowflakes and on others I added a few layers to give the wreath more dimension.

The snowflake & sentiment stamps are from the Winter Mix It Up Clear stamp set  and can be found in the store. 

I added some glitter over some of the sentiments & snowflakes. I love the sparkly touch this lends to the cards. 

I am all set to send out some handmade cards this holiday season!!

A Few Christmas Cards

Hey y'all! Are you ready for tomorrow? The Thanksgiving holiday has come so very quickly but I am more than excited! It is actually snowing here which is a very rare occurrence! It's not sticking to the ground though because it's been raining ALL day & is too wet.
I want to share the latest Christmas cards I made at my scrap club last week. In November, we have a card kit swap. Each person brings in all of the contents to make a card & we create them in our class. I love this, as we leave that night with at least 6 completed Christmas cards!
I am pretty sure that everyone of these card ideas was found on Pinterest! (I'd give credit to the designers, but since I didn't find the photos myself, I don't know who they are!)

The "Starbuck's" card opens at the top. It's so clever!!

I made a few more cards that aren't photographed yet. Hopefully I can share them here soon!

Layout with Lovebug Creations

Hey y'all ! happy last Tuesday of July!! How is that even possible?! This month has absolutely flown by!! "Time flies when you're having fun"-right?! It sure has around here! We have had a fun-filled month, for sure!

Today is my day to share over on the Lovebug Creations' blog. I have a layout that we created in our once-a-month scrap club. This layout was originally inspired by this one off of the My Mind's Eye board on Pinterest. Here is my page:

I used the sweet rumple ribbon in Dahlia from the Southern Sass collection. I have also used four Beautiful Blooms  two in white, one in Kisses and one in Envious. 

  

 These handmade, clay flowers are the best to work with! And they add a delicate touch to any project.
My papers are all from my stash & are a mix of manufacturers-Crate Paper, Glitz, to name a few. The "party" die cut & the locator are both from Crate Paper. The gold glitter alphas are from AC Thickers.

   This picture was taken on the second to last day of Leah's third grade year. Mrs. Brady was "the best" teacher she has ever had!! I still miss her, so does Leah! There were many tears shed on that last day of school.

Hey y'all & happy Friday!
We had a good day here, in spite of the now heavy downpour of rain we are getting that caused the school carnival to be postponed. But at least it will wash away all the nasty pollen!
I chaperoned Ty's class field trip to a local farm/museum & we had a great time. We got to pet a baby lamb & see some fun animals & learn cool things about them.

I had my once-a-month scrap club Monday night & we re-created this beautiful page by Stacy Cohen:

I just love this page! The butterflies seem magical to me how they float to the edge of the page. 

The tag pulls out from behind the photos to reveal my journaling. 

I have used a mix of embellies from my stash, some from Crate Paper, American Crafts, Jillibean Soup. The butterflies were punched with my Martha Stewart punch.

Happy Friday

Hey y'all & happy Friday!
Drew & I are headed out of town for the weekend. I am trying to wrap up a few things before we leave & I realized I never shared this layout. It is a lift of the member of the month over at Memorable Seasons. This month we lifted the fabulous Ange! You can see all of her wonderfully fun layouts here. 
This is my layout, about the kids love for their rain boots!

 The bachground paper is actually from the "Santa's List" collection from Teresa Collins. The rest of the papers & embellishments are left over from my Echo Park Head Over Heels collection. The alphas are AC Thickers.

 The resin flowers are from Fancy Pants.

Always-Echo Park

I hope y'all have had a nice weekend. We enjoyed time with family & watching some of the Olympics; riding & a movie with friends. Despite the cold & gloomy weather, it was a great weekend here!

Today I am sharing another layout using Echo Park's Head Over Heels collection. I can not even tell you how much fun I am having with this line! It is so cheery & colorful-just what we need around here at this time of year.
This layout is a lift of the amazing Wendy Antenucci, who was chosen as MOTM  this month at Memorable Seasons. Here is my layout:

The doily, buttons, & sequins are from my stash. The chevron washi tape is from Jenni Bowlin. The blue dot & the hearts washi are also from my stash. The alpha stickers are Fancy Pants, & everything else here is Echo Park.

Hey everybody!
Hope you all had a great Sunday. It was non-stop busy around here! We are beginning our master bath (total gut & remodel) in the morning, so today was spent clearing the room out & getting ready for our contractor to show up bright & early. I will post before & after pictures when it's done. And I hope it's a quick project!! I do not like sharing a bathroom with the kids!

I want to quickly share a layout that I did for my challenge over on the forums at Memorable Seasons. It is to take inspiration from this picture & create a layout or card:

  Here is my layout:

I took my inspiration from the texture in the picture. I used burlap, sequins, a flocked number & twine. I love the pink woodgrain paper from Fancy Pants & the blue chevron paper almost matches the fabric on her pillow exactly!

They both had a great time, but Ty, as usual, tuckered out before anyone & wanted to head home. So Drew took him home about 30 minutes before everyone else was done!

Hey everyone & welcome to another Friday!!
These weeks are flying by at super-sonic speed & I have a feeling that before we know it, Christmas will be upon us! It is only 2 months from today!!! WHAT?!

But I digress, since Halloween is next week (& I still haven't decorated the house), I am trying to get in the spooky spirit! I altered a mason jar this week. I originally saw this idea on Pinterest using silk leaves, but since I had none available, I used feathers that I thought looked somewhat creepy & Halloweenish.

     I used Lovebug Creations' rumple ribbon in Halloween Grunge in orange and Edgy Halloween in black to tie around the mouth of the jar. This gives my project a unified and finished touch!

 I added a tealight, and now have another home decor item that can transition from Halloween to Fall.

Slipping By

Hi guys & happy Monday.

Today is  my nieces's 17th birthday! How is it possible? I remember the day she was born & my poor sister was in labor for over 36 hours.
She has begun looking at colleges & planning for her near future. It all seems unreal to me. And I'm not even her mother; I can't imagine what my sister is feeling!

Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch. And looking at my kids then made me realize again how fast they are growing up too!

These past 10 years have gone by so quickly. I have been feeling very melancholy lately & am sad at how fast they are growing up. If you told me 3 years ago I would feel like this, I would have never believed you! Before I know it, my kids will be touring colleges! It's all so fleeting....I hope they continue to want to take trips to the pumpkin patch with us as they grow.

I also want to share my latest kit I received from Memorable Seasons. It is from Simple Stories-their Smarty Pants collection. What a great kit to receive this time of year!!

  My first project is a mini album I made using the journaling cards from the printed paper.
 

I want to do a seperate mini album for each year of school for the kids. I just finished this for Leah's 2nd grade year (she is now in 5th)!!

 I also created a layout & a card for the Member of the Month lift challenge at MS. This month's chosen member is Colette & you can see her gallery here. I lifted this layout of hers:
