Two Cards

Hey y'all! I have two cards to share that I made using the latest sketch from Cardabilities, #124.
Here is a picture of the sketch

And here is my first card

I used some paper scraps from my stash. The chipboard flowers & stamp are older too, from Crate Paper.
I made this card for my daughter who just recently tried out for her school's cheerleading team & made it! We are so proud of her!! She also just received awards for Honor Roll all year, recognition in the A Club & she received an award called the "Stellar Senator" that is given to those 6th graders who exhibit compassion, respect, attitude, outstanding effort & responsibility. It is the highest accolade they can receive & they have to be nominated for the award by at least 4 of their teachers. To say we were proud is quite an understatement! She rocked her first year of middle school!!

Here is my next card

I again used paper scraps for this one. The star sequins & small paper stars are from Pretty Little Studios.

This card was made for my son. He also got honor roll all year & had perfect attendance. He is trying out for All-Stars this weekend! His 2nd grade year has been pretty awesome too!!

Thanks for stopping by tonight.
Stay crafty!

A Lovely Gift

Hey y'all! I hope this day is treating you well! We are fighting off colds around here & trying to get healthy for the New Year!
I have a post to share today featuring flair & sequins from The Crafty Pickle. I made a layout using this sketch from Stuck?! Sketches:

Here is my page:
I started by stamping the circles on my cardstock. I then added strips of paper from my stash. I love, love, love using up scraps!!

The black & white striped paper is from Glitz & the multi-colored snowflake paper is from Imaginisce. The stars are from Pink Paislee & the journal card is from Pretty Little Studio.

Here is a closer look at the red & white flair button from TCP. I love how festive it is! I also love how well it matches the paper here from Elle's Studio. You can get a good look at the Christmas sequins mix here too.
The crown is from Um Wow Studios & I misted it red then added some coarse glitter.

This arrow flair button is glittery & the perfect accent to my Christmas page!

There's more of the yummy Christmas sequins & the ornament die cut is from Pink Paislee. My alphas are from Fancy Pants.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a crafty day!

Christmas Mini Album-Nani ke Ola

Hi again y'all! Happy Friday!! Are you ready for the big day? I am getting there & am so excited!

While I love looking at all of the December Daily albums flooding Pinterest & blogs this time of year, I just couldn't make myself create one. I tried a few time several years in a row & was never able to complete the album. There is just entirely too much going on & I didn't want the stress of tackling another project. I did, however create a simple mini album to hold some favorite photos from this season. I have used mainly all products from Pretty Little Studio's Holiday Cheer collection.

I started with a naked chipboard album & covered the pages in an assortment of PLS patterned papers. I used my new favorite punch, the deer head from EK Success; silver foil numbers; wood veneer diamond shapes; the "Merry Christmas" die cut & a Santa flair from PLS to create my cover.

I "wrapped it up" with a pretty black bow and it's done!
The silver glitter paper, doily & chipboard snowman are from my stash, but everything else seen here is from Pretty Little Studio. I just adore this collection & found it so much fun to create with! I cut some triangles out of paper to mimic mountains & punched some snowflakes to create a winter scene.
Even the packaging of these products is fabulous! Here I used the insert from the flair buttons.

I am relieved that I have at least a small album completed to place some holiday photos in! What about you-are you doing a December Daily this year? You can find the Holiday Cheer  collection, and so much more, in the Nani ke Ola store.
Thanks for stopping by! Make it a crafty day!!

Christmas Tags-Nani ke Ola GDT

Hey y'all & happy Friday to you!
I am  here to share another project for my guest design spot over at Nani ke Ola. I was sent the oh-so adorable Holiday Cheer from Pretty Little Studio to work with this month. It is vintage and whimsical & great to play around with this time of year!
I always have many presents to wrap & give, so I thought I would start by making some cute and fun holiday tags!
I started with pre-made tags & cut the patterned papers to fit. I love that the papers in this collection aren't too Christmas themed & work great for all holidays & winter alike!
I added a doily to each tag & then layered it with the name tags and word flags from the collection.
I recently purchased the buck punch from EK Success and am loving using it on all my Christmas projects!
A ribbon & some twine, a sparkly sequin & a silver bell help to make these gift tags feel so very festive and fun!!

Be sure to visit the Nani ke Ola store to purchase this fun collection and much, much more!!
Thanks for visiting today! Don't forget to enter the giveaway on my blog!
Have a great, & crafty, day!

Page Maps Sketch

Hey y'all! Welcome to the middle of the week (already)!
Leah has an appointment today with an oral surgeon to have a blocked salivary gland removed from her bottom lip. (There is nothing like waiting until the last minute to handle things, right?!) She has had this bump on her lip for months now, & every time I would try to get her to the doctor, it would go away. Now, with one week left of summer, we are finally getting it taken care of! It is a simple procedure & the doctor said she'll have no problem afterward. I told the kids we would go to Dave & Busters this afternoon to play games. That is one thing on the summer bucket list that we have not done yet. Another is playing laser tag!

I have a layout that we made last month in our scrap club that was based on this sketch from Page Maps

And here is my layout:
I started with the yellow background paper that is from Glitz. The "splatters" on the white cardstock are actually a stamp that a friends owns from Stampin' Up (how neat)! My papers for the circle are a mix of  Glitz, October Afternoon, My Mind's Eye & Pink Paislee. Most were from my scraps.

I adore this picture of Leah with her missing teeth holding a favorite stuffed animal! It was taken when she was 8!

Make it a scrappy day, y'all!!

SOUS PL Challenge-Summer

Hey y'all & welcome to this fabulous Monday! We are currently in the Bahamas at Atlantis Resort & are having a blast!! (I will share pics later of our vacay.)
Today a new project life challenge is up at Stuck On U Sketches
We want to see your pages about summer! What better time to scrap about this wonderful & relaxing season!!
Here is my layout:
I  used a mix of PL cards here. "You were meant to shine" is from MAMBI. The kaleidoscope chippie flower is from My Mind's Eye. The "Hello Summer" card is an actual card that my son received last summer from his best friend while he was at camp. I added the small alphas from Jillibean Soup to include the word "summer". The wood veneers are from Studio Calico.

The "beautiful" & "summer day" tags are from Pretty Little Studio.
These are photos from our vacation in 2009. The kids were so little!! I miss those days (sometimes). LOL!

We hope you get the chance  to play along with this challenge. Be sure to link up on the blog to the correct challenge for a chance at this month's prize!

Thanks for stopping by. We are off to swim with the dolphins! Woo hoo!!
Stay scrappy, my friends!

Two Layouts

Hey y'all! I hope this day finds everyone well. We have a house full of kiddos here & A LOT of noise!! I have escaped to the office for a moment of solitude! We were supposed to go to the pool but the weather is cloudy & rainy, so it's another day at home.
I want to share my most recent layouts while I have a minute. I fear things could turn sour at any time!!!!
Both of these were created using sketches from Sketchabilities. The first one uses their sketch #116:

Here is my layout:

I grabbed a lot of supplies from my stash. The background was created with splatters of mists, stamped circles & a Dear Lizzy  word stamp.

The fabulous gold circle vellum is from Pretty Little Studio, as are the phrase die cuts. The "bliss" & heart chippies are from MAMBI. The gorgeous clay flowers are from Lovebug Creations. The bird/music paper is part of a Basic Grey packaging. The circle banner under the photos is from My Mind's Eye.
I had a blast pulling things & adding a ton of items from my stash!

This next layout uses skecth #118:

And here is what I created:

I stamped circles with black paint & then started layering! I used much of what I had laying on my desk for this one & what fun it was!!
All of the tags, the gold doily & the initial banners are from Crate Paper. I  used the gold circle vellum again from PLS. The glitter alphas are Thickers.

The "happy" chipboard, hearts & camera are from Heidi Swapp.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful Thursday y'all!

Sweet Love (A Mini)

Hey friends & happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a fabulous Fourth of July. We had a great long weekend in the mountains of West Virginia & enjoyed the beautiful weather. We were all exhausted when we got home Sunday night from being on the go & attending two concerts! This was Ty's first concert experience & he was not too amused!! He said it was too loud! There is nothing better than spending quality time together as a family & this past weekend reminded me again of just that. I love when we are all together!

I have a mini album to share (well, the cover at least) with you today. I used Lovebug Creations' rumple ribbon  in "Kisses" from the Loves Me...Love Me Knot collection as my binding.
The colors is gorgeous & adds such vibrancy to the album.
This album is truly a "mini"-it measures 4x5. I wanted something to put wallet-sized photos of my kids in. It will be fun to complete the inside pages & I will share with you all when they are done!
The striped paper is cut from a packaging from Pretty Little Studios &  the journal card is from Echo Park. The star sequins are also from PLS. The "love you" tag is from Crate Paper.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are staying cool!!

PLS Sketch

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday night. I hope you all had a great day & good weekend. The weather here was absolutely gorgeous! Not humid at all, which is my kind of summer day!
Tonight I have another layout that I created using a sketch for inspiration. This one is from Pretty Little Studio. Here is the sketch created by Jessy Christopher:
June-2014-Sketch-(2)
And here is my layout:

I used this gorgeous vellum from PLS along with these word tags & this super fun confetti mix! I love the colors in the Marigold collection & the fun embellishments. The gold circles that I wrote the place & date on are cut from this sheet of vellum, also from PLS. The flair button  can be found here.

I love the way you can still see the blue mist splatters even through the patterned vellum. The canvas stars are from Studio Calico & I misted them with Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist  in "Jack Frost" blue.
This was a fun layout to create & I love the soft look of the end result.

Thanks for stopping by & don't forget to check out my giveaway here!!!
I am off to bed now as I can barely keep my eyes open! My nephew spent the night with Ty last night. He had a hard time getting to sleep & then was up at dawn this morning. I am so not used to that!! My kids sleep late. And I am looking forward to that tomorrow, for sure!
Good night,
~Stephanie
