Christmas Mini Album-Nani ke Ola

Hi again y'all! Happy Friday!! Are you ready for the big day? I am getting there & am so excited!

While I love looking at all of the December Daily albums flooding Pinterest & blogs this time of year, I just couldn't make myself create one. I tried a few time several years in a row & was never able to complete the album. There is just entirely too much going on & I didn't want the stress of tackling another project. I did, however create a simple mini album to hold some favorite photos from this season. I have used mainly all products from Pretty Little Studio's Holiday Cheer collection.

I started with a naked chipboard album & covered the pages in an assortment of PLS patterned papers. I used my new favorite punch, the deer head from EK Success; silver foil numbers; wood veneer diamond shapes; the "Merry Christmas" die cut & a Santa flair from PLS to create my cover.

I "wrapped it up" with a pretty black bow and it's done!
The silver glitter paper, doily & chipboard snowman are from my stash, but everything else seen here is from Pretty Little Studio. I just adore this collection & found it so much fun to create with! I cut some triangles out of paper to mimic mountains & punched some snowflakes to create a winter scene.
Even the packaging of these products is fabulous! Here I used the insert from the flair buttons.

I am relieved that I have at least a small album completed to place some holiday photos in! What about you-are you doing a December Daily this year? You can find the Holiday Cheer  collection, and so much more, in the Nani ke Ola store.
Thanks for stopping by! Make it a crafty day!!

School Days Mini

Hey y'all & happy Friday!! Remember when I shared this layout a few weeks ago? I am continuing with my guest spot at Nani ke Ola this month & was super excited to create this mini album using the 7Dots Illumination collection!!
I said before that this collection reminded me of school days, so I went with that theme again & this time made a mini album from all of the tags! Have you ever wondered what to do with all the tiny 2x3 sized school photos of your kids? I found just the right solution!! Now they can all be kept in one spot.
This is the cover. Everything here is from 7Dots (with the exception of my alphas & numbers, sequins, ribbon & birds' nest charm) & can be found in the store.

I used the smaller tags to put Leah's grade level on. They worked perfectly for this purpose!
Her school picture, along with a word or phrase & a sequin or two, & the tag is done!

And there you have it- a simple, but so very cute mini album to showcase school photos through your childs' school career!

extra supplies:
-alphas & number-American Crafts Thickers
-rumple ribbon-Lovebug Creations
-sequins-miscellaneous
-pearls-Prima

7Dots Studios-Illumination

Hey y'all & happy Friday! Hope you are warm in your neck of the woods. It is cold & grey here, but this weather definitely makes it feel like the holiday season! I love it!!

I was thrilled to be asked by Jennifer at Nani ke Ola to guest design again this month! She sent me the Illumination collection from 7Dots Studios and I am loving it!! It is so cheerful & fun!
   Illum Complete Collection
I have completed one layout and have so much more left! All of the tags in this collection would make a cute little mini album and I hope to get around to creating one soon!!
The papers reminded me of school so I thought, what a great way to scrap my daughter's first middle school photo!
I began with the lined paper and drizzled some white paint on that. I then cut strips of the striped patterned paper to place at the top and bottom of my page. I am in love with the chevron paper from this collection, so I knew I wanted a lot of it to show on my page. I placed it in the center and used it as a large mat for Leah's photo.
The "enjoy" sticker is placed on a journal card that slides out from underneath Leah's picture. I used this to write some thoughts about the beginning of her middle school career!
Everything here is from the store, with the exception of the leaves, feathers, numbers and gold dot washi tape. The row of flowers above my photo is from Maya Road and came from my stash.
I misted my leaves to coordinate with the colors in the papers and then layered a feather & die cut on top. The chipboard pieces here are from UmWow Studio.

Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate every visit and comment. I hope to be back soon to share more with this awesome collection!!

Stay crafty, friends!

Guesting At Nani ke Ola

Hey y'all!
So I was so excited to get an email from Jennifer at Nani ke Ola asking me if I would like to be a Guest Designer for them! Um, yes?!!! I was lucky enough to work with the 7Dots Messy Head collection. I fell instantly in love! I mean, take a look at all this yumminess:
   Messy Head Collection Kit

I couldn't wait to get creating! I made one layout & two cards & I still have plenty of product left to play with! Here is what I have done so far:

I started with the fabulous wood-grain paper & added a few layers. Under that is a layer of white paint.

I distressed most of the papers edges to give my page a worn look, much like the feel of the seaside buildings in the town we were visiting in the photo.

I loved all of the elements from this collections, from the die cuts, to the word stickers and everything in between! I only wish I could have incorporated them all onto this layout-but that just means more projects to create using them!

I went a little sequins crazy here! But I really like the magical touch it lends to my page.

My next two projects are cards.
Here I used a paper from the collection as my card base. Isn't it gorgeous?!
I added a journal card on top & topped that with a doily, a smaller tag/journal card, a die cut & some word stickers (all from the Messy Head collection).

And here is my second card:
I also created this card with a piece of paper from the Messy Head collection. They are all simple gorgeous!
The corner stamps are also from 7Dots. I placed a small die cut card on top of my silver doily & added to that the die cut heart and some more fun word stickers!
My best friend moved out of state years ago, so I thought this pretty card would be perfect to say a quick "hello" to her!

Be sure to hop on over to the Nani ke Ola store  to check out these products & MORE!!
I know I will have more to share soon with this fabulous collection from 7Dots.

Thanks for visiting!
