Christmas Magic-Stuck On U Sketches

Hey y'all! Today I am going to share my layout using the December 5 sketch from Stuck On U Sketches . They recently had some changes on the design team & did away with their Project Life challenge. This is my debut sketch layout for them!
Here is a reminder of the wonderful sketch created by Nanne!

What a great design! And here is my layout

I started with the "Deck the Halls" paper from Elle's Studio and added patterned paper layers, all of which are from Carta Bella. I distressed the edges of all my papers here.
I used die cut & vellum flowers and stars from Pink Paislee.
My doilies are from Martha Stewart. The date sticker & snowflake stickers that adorn some of the stars are from Echo Park. I love mixing & matching different manufacturers on a single project!
My die cut title is from Teresa Collins.
These photo were taken at a local hotel that goes all out on their Christmas decorations! We visit every year & take pictures. And yes, these are from 2009!!

We hope you find the time to play along! We love to see your creations. You have until December 18 to link up your layout.

Thanks for stopping by! Make it a crafty weekend!!

PL with SOUS

Good Monday morning y'all! Fall weather was upon us this weekend & it was wonderful! We spent lots of time outside at baseball games (Ty's team won!) & Leah spent all day Saturday at the barn. They are having a show next weekend, so the kids had a pizza & painting party to get ready! We snuggled together Saturday night & had family movie night.Sunday the kids decorated the outside of the house for Halloween; now I just have to do the inside! Are you ready for Halloween?

Stuck On U Sketches has a new Project Life challenge up today, the second one of the month, & it is a color challenge! Use orange, black & white on your spread. But that doesn't mean it has to be Halloween themed. I created a Fall page.

I went through my stash & first pulled my papers that had orange & black in them. They are older My Mind's Eye from their Indie Chic collection. My black & white journal cards are from MAMBI.

Then I went searching for embellishments!  I  love shopping my stash!!

I used some mistables from Studio Calico (misted with orange Heidi Swapp mist); some stickers from Glitz; & some paper flowers from Teresa Collins. And my page came together just like that!
We would love to see what you do with the color combo! Link up here  if you get the chance!!

Thanks for stopping by today. I so appreciate it!
Til next time,
~Stephanie

Scrap Our Stash

Happy fall y'all! It has really felt like fall these past few days-rainy, grey & temps in the 60's. I love it!!

Being stuck inside with a cold has it's positives: I have gotten a lot of scrapping done! I played along with this sketch from Scrap Our Stash

And the challenge is to use an item for each letter, A,B & C. And to include 1 journaling card, 2 photos & 3 patterned papers!
Here is what I came up with:
For the letter "A" I used arrows. For the letter "B" I used buttons; and for the letter "C" I used cork embellishments.
The journal card above is from My Mind's Eye. My alphas are Thickers & the buttons are from Teresa Collins & older ones from my stash.
My 3 patterned papers are all from Studio Calico. So is the pink twine.
The cork arrows & banner sticker are from Crate Paper.
My two photos were taken on a day trip to Jamestown during a rare moment of peace & tranquility when my kids were getting along! I cherish them (the photos & the kids)!!

I hope to be back soon to share more layouts.
Take care!

Beach Beauty

Hey y'all! Hope your Monday has been good. Drew was off today & Ty was at baseball camp, so we got to spend some special time w/ Leah! We went to lunch & then she got a new case for her phone (that was her graduation present). I love having one on one time with the kids.

Today I want to share another layout I made playing along with a sketch. This one comes from Sketch N Scrap.

How fun is this?!
And here is my layout:

The 2 large triangles of paper are from Jillibean Soup &  the other papers are from Pink Paislee's Color Wash  collection. The chippie hexagons are from Maya Road & I misted them with 2 different colors. My alphas are Thickers that were originally white. I thought they looked to washed out on the page, so I colored them with a marker. And there is another gold doily from Crate Paper!

I used a chip button from Teresa Collins & that wonderful star confetti & sequins, as well as the heart flair are from Pretty Little Studio

This was such a fun layout to make & I love that in the end, I am thrilled with the way it turned out! Thanks SNS for the inspiration!!

I am wiped out & am off to sleep now! Good night y'all!

Happy Friday

Hey y'all & happy Friday!
Drew & I are headed out of town for the weekend. I am trying to wrap up a few things before we leave & I realized I never shared this layout. It is a lift of the member of the month over at Memorable Seasons. This month we lifted the fabulous Ange! You can see all of her wonderfully fun layouts here.
This is my layout, about the kids love for their rain boots!
The bachground paper is actually from the "Santa's List" collection from Teresa Collins. The rest of the papers & embellishments are left over from my Echo Park Head Over Heels collection. The alphas are AC Thickers.

The resin flowers are from Fancy Pants.

This is Ange's original layout that I lifted:

It sure was fun to lift her this month!! Thanks for the inspiration, Ange!
Have a great day!

Let It Snow

Happy Friday y'all!!
Today I want to share my latest layout created with some of my favorite Lily Bee papers.
While we did get some snow yesterday, I didn't get any pictures of the kids in it as there wasn't much left by the time they got home from school! So this picture is an older one of Ty trying to make a snowball.
I applied the paint dots using a pencil eraser to the white cardstock. Here are some detail photos:

I am playing along with this challenge at 1 2 3 Get Scrappy:

I used the left row down-tear the edges, old book page & snow flakes.

Supplies:
-Lily Bee papers-Destination & Pinwheel
-Lily Bee Head Over Heels journal card
-Imaginisce journal spot (Let It Snow)
-Teresa Collins buttons
-flair button & wood veneer arrow from Scraptastic

3 Label Strips

...is the current Project Life challenge up today at Stuck On You Sketches.
These challenges are always so much fun & a great starting point to creating your pages for your PL album, or if you don't have an actual album but just create in that style!
Here is my latest:

My label strips are from Elle's Studio, the Saltwater collection.
I have again used MAMBI cards, along with some K&CO & Simple Stories journaling cards. I began with my two photos and built the page around them. The wood veneers here are Basic Grey & the cute chipboard buttons are from Teresa Collins.
We took the kids to Jamestown & Yorktown Beach for the day & all had a great time. This was one of those days that you look back on with only good memories!!

We hope you get the chance to play along with this challenge! Link up here if you do. We'd love to see your pages!!

Enjoy these last two days of 2013!

SOUS PL Challenge

Hi friends! Happy first Monday in December!
We are in the Christmas spirit around here for sure! Leah put up & decorated her Christmas tree in her room. Ty's is up too, though he doesn't have many ornaments on it. We are going to slowly take on the house decorating!

I never shared here my latest scrappy news. I was chosen to be on the Project Life DT for Stuck On You Sketches!
Now I know what you may be thinking-I don't do PL, right?! Right! I have never commited to, what seems to me to be a huge commitment, Project Life. But the nice thing is, I don't have to keep a specific PL album to play along with the fun challenges! I simply scrap my pages in that style!

The first challenge for the PL team for the month of December is to use a scalloped circle. Here is my layout:
I started with the black cardstock and added my photos & PL cards. My scalloped circle is punched with my Fiskars punch from a scrap piece of Fancy Pants'.

Here are some detail shots:

I love the ease of putting these pages together!
I hope you will join in on the fun over on the Stuck On You Sketches blog !! We would love to see your creations.

Supplies:
Bazzill black cardstock
Fiskars squeeze punch
Fancy Panys' Collecting Moments Homework & Bingo Night pp
MAMBI Pocket Pages
Thickers foam alpha stickers
Teresa Collins' chipboard & button
MAMBI Chips

Have a holly-jolly day y'all!

Winner, Winner & December Daily

Hi y'all & happy Hump Day!

I forgot to post the winner here yesterday from the Sketch N Scrap Holiday blog hop. I used random generator to choose the winner from the 12 comments, & number 11, Sandi is the winner! Please email me at dreweaken@comcast.net your physical address so that I can send you your goodies!

I also wanted to share my finished December Daily album that I started LAST YEAR & never completed!! I am notorious for doing this with my mini albums! Sometimes they sit for months & I don't touch them. I may create a few pages at a time, & most of the time, this works fro me!
I used this Teresa Collins Christmas Countdown memory album kit:

Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage Collection - Christmas Countdown Memory Album Kit
Here are my finished pages (minus the photos & journaling):

While the kit was chock full of goodness, I also added a lot of things from my stash. I love to mix and match & pull from what I already have.
If you want to see the beginning pages of the album, check out this post.

So I finished this DD album just in time to start this year's!! Are you all creating a Decemeber Daily this year? What album are you using? I'm always looking for a good one!

Have a fabulous day!
Stay scrappy....
